On PlayStation, Portable Guillotine is a Bronze trophy; on Xbox and PC, it is an achievement in Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival. The objective may sound easy, but melee weapons break after just a few swings, so keeping one blade intact for three decapitations is the real test. You can miss this trophy: the campaign offers neither chapter select nor free roam after the story ends, so earn it during a regular playthrough.
Quick answer: Take the heads of three enemies with one melee weapon, making sure it survives all three kills. Injure each target until it glows blue, then strike its head. Your tally persists when you reload a save, so you can split the kills across reloads if your blade is close to breaking.
What the Portable Guillotine trophy requires
You need to decapitate at least three enemies, and all three heads must come off the same melee weapon while it stays unbroken from the first kill to the third. The count carries across the whole campaign, so the kills do not have to happen in one room or one fight.
The combat itself is easy. The problem is durability. A blade can break before you reach the third head, and once it shatters the tally resets. Everything about this trophy comes down to protecting one weapon.
An enemy only loses its head while it is in the weakened blue state. Shoot or hit it until it glows blue and slumps forward, then land a strike on the neck. A head blow on a healthy enemy will not sever anything.
At Zora’s first shop, purchase the Basic Repair Kit recipe for 120 coins. Crafting repairs allows you to restore one blade and use it for all three beheadings.

Two clean opportunities show up in the opening act, both before the trophy becomes permanently missable. Weakened, blue-glowing foes are the easiest targets since a head hit connects while they glow.
- Ghosts of Reykjavik: In this first section, three humanoid creatures with skinned bodies occupy the rusty corridors.
- First Unworthy encounters: You meet the zombie-like Unworthies shortly before reaching the merchant Zora; damaging them makes them glow blue.
Method 1: The flooded Charlotte chase
During the “Escape Charlotte / Get to safety” objective, you cross a flooded basement where three Unworthies are spaced along the corridor. An easy approach is to weaken each with pistol fire before finishing it with your blade. Each Unworthy takes roughly three to four body shots to stun, glow blue, and bend forward.

Carry the Genesis Configuration and use the interact prompt beside a blue Unworthy; Leviathan’s box will take its head instantly. This works only on Unworthies and uses none of your blade’s durability.
Method 2: Ghosts of Reykjavik corridors
To complete this before meeting Zora, use a single saw-edged blade and the Banish finisher on the three skinned creatures in the Ghosts of Reykjavik corridors. Keep the puzzle box held in your left hand and that blade in your right throughout.
Save-reload method to beat weapon durability
Your beheading tally remains when you reload an earlier save, so you can reach three across several reloads. This is the most dependable option if your weapon breaks before you can take the third head.
The Leviathan’s box shortcut pairs perfectly with this. Because the box beheads blue Unworthies for free, you can rack up those kills without spending any durability, then reload to reset the enemies and repeat.
Confirming the unlock
Removing a third head while one weapon remains intact triggers Portable Guillotine immediately. A standard trophy or achievement notification appears on screen. If there is no notification after the third kill, the tally has usually reset because the blade broke during the process. Repair the weapon or equip it again, then get three clean beheadings in a row before leaving the area.
