In Home Alone, the Roblox horror sim where your mum leaves you to mind the house overnight, every person who knocks can be a real neighbour or an Anomaly wearing their face. Letting an Anomaly inside drains your Sanity meter, and once it hits zero the run is over. The only reliable way to survive is to check the specific tell for each visitor before you decide.
Quick answer: If a visitor shows their Anomaly sign, turn the porch light off using the switch to the right of the front door. If every detail checks out, open the door and complete the interaction.
How Anomaly checks work in Home Alone
The goal of a night is to raise $180 by completing jobs around the house and answering the door to people wandering the neighbourhood. Every visitor has both a genuine form and an Anomalous form, so you have to verify each one individually before choosing whether to let them in.
You confirm identity three ways. Check the details of the story they give you against the real state of the house, listen closely to their voice, and pull up the cameras on the laptop in the front room to look for anything wrong. Many tells only appear when you switch the cameras to night vision.

Add to Google Preferences →Every visitor and how to spot the Anomaly
Each visitor arrives with a request. The table below lists the exact warning sign that marks the Anomalous version. If the sign is present, deny entry. If it is absent, the visitor is genuine.
| Visitor | Anomaly sign (deny if true) |
|---|---|
| Police Man | A beat-up van is parked out front instead of a police car. |
| Cat Lady | She asks for her black cat, but the cat by your parents’ bed is white. |
| New Neighbour | On night vision he has his face pressed against the camera. |
| Classmate | His voice flits between normal and a gravelly, demonic tone. |
| Guy Who Needs To Pee | On night vision the camera shows him taller than before. |
| Dumped Girl | On the cameras she is smiling and staring straight at you. |
| Streamer | He has no giant phone in his hand. |
| Vampire | Always an Anomaly. Never invite him in. |
| Firefighter | He claims smoke is coming from the oven, but the oven has none. |
| Plumber | He says the bath faucet is leaking, but the faucet is dry. |
| City Maintenance | He says the water is brown, but no water runs from the sink at all. |
| Homeless Man | He does not appear on the cameras. |
| Secret Agent | On night vision he turns into a roughly 7ft alien. |
| Party Girl | Her voice echoes in a melodic, artificial way. |
| Ballerina | On the camera she is dancing on the doorstep. |
| Dog Owner | The backyard camera shows him on all fours barking instead of a dog. |
| Wifi Kid | The camera audio glitches with a repeated shutter-click sound. |
| Lost Girl | On night vision her model is giant. |
| Sleepy Woman | Her head snaps forward when you switch on night vision. |
| Obby Player | The camera on his mum’s car shows him smashing it with his fist. |
| Gym Bro | His voice sounds unusually high-pitched. |
A few newer arrivals, including the Next Door Neighbour (who argues about your CCTV placement), the Old Man (looking for his daughter’s house), and the Drunk Girl (asking to use your phone), do not yet have a confirmed identification tell. Treat these carefully and lean on general warning signs such as inconsistent dialogue or odd camera behaviour until a clear marker is established.
The Goblin Stalker is harmless
The Goblin Stalker is a small, pale demon goblin that appears around the house to jumpscare you. It is not a door visitor and it cannot actually hurt you or lower your Sanity. Ignore it and keep working through your routine.
Confirming a safe call and avoiding failure
You know you made the right call when your Sanity meter holds steady after the encounter. A correct deny keeps the Anomaly out with no penalty, and a correct open lets you finish the visitor’s request and earn progress toward the $180 target.
Runs end for one reason. Every time you open the door to an Anomaly, your Sanity drops, and letting enough of them in reduces it to zero. Avoid this by never opening on a familiar face alone. Confirm the story against the house, listen for a warped voice, and check both normal and night vision camera views before you touch the door.
Note: Keep a repeatable check for each knock so you never skip a step. Verify the physical detail they mention, sweep the cameras, then flip night vision. If any single tell above is present, the porch light goes off and the door stays shut.
