Iroi is the first limited S-rank support in Neverness to Everness, an Anima healer who keeps a team alive while turning every heal into a damage buff. Her value comes from stacking attack, keeping her Ultimate online, and slotting behind an aggressive main carry. Built correctly, she fits almost any Charge, Blossom, or Anima-flavored lineup.
Quick answer: Equip The Wrong Gate arc and the Speedy Hedgehog cartridge, prioritize ATK% and ATK on modules, level her Ultimate first, and run her behind Shinku with Hathor and Esper Zero.
| Type | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Role | S-rank Anima Support (healing, revives, team buffs) |
| Best Arc | The Wrong Gate |
| Best Cartridge | Speedy Hedgehog |
| Main Stats | ATK%, ATK, CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG |
| Substat Priority | ATK% > ATK > CRIT Rate > Cycle Intensity |
| Skill Priority | Ultimate > Skill > QTE > Basic Attack |
| Best Team | Shinku, Hathor, Esper Zero, Iroi |
The Wrong Gate is Iroi’s best-in-slot arc
The Wrong Gate is Iroi’s signature Liquid arc and the clear top pick. Its Reverie Gate effect raises her ATK by 16%, and whenever she heals, it boosts her own Anima DMG by 30% and all allies’ damage dealt by 15% for 20 seconds. The buff refreshes every time she heals again, so her constant healing keeps a team-wide damage boost running for the whole fight.
If you do not have her signature arc, several strong replacements cover the same support job. Pick based on whether you want more raw attack, a Break contribution, or extra personal Anima damage.
| Arc | Rarity | Why use it |
|---|---|---|
| The Wrong Gate | S-rank | Signature arc; healing turns into a team-wide damage buff plus personal Anima DMG. |
| Youthful Fantasy | S-rank | High flat ATK and 60 Break Intensity; solid substitute that lifts her healing and buff values. |
| Fluff of Fleetness | S-rank | Stacks ATK while on field, but resets on swap. Only worth it if she stays on field. |
| Clear Skies | A-rank | Best budget option; adds up to 35% Anima DMG to her Redirect Skill and Ultimate, with an ATK% substat. |
| Call of the Twisted City | A-rank | Adds a Healing Bonus after her Redirect Skill for a heal-focused build. |

Add to Google Preferences →Speedy Hedgehog cartridge and module layout
Speedy Hedgehog is Iroi’s best cartridge and pairs perfectly with her role. The 2-piece Epic bonus adds 12% Charge Efficiency, which brings her Ultimate back faster. The 4-piece Legendary bonus increases all allies’ ATK by 15% for 20 seconds after she casts her Ultimate. That gives the team a second attack buff on top of what her kit and arc already provide.
For a purely defensive setup, Thea’s Night Tavern trades the ATK buff for a 20% Healing Bonus. If you want Iroi to deal more damage herself, Fireflies and the Forest stacks CRIT DMG from team Anima hits. Speedy Hedgehog remains the default for most teams because it supports and buffs at the same time.
The layout uses four Type III modules to activate the 4-piece effect while maximizing the +10% ATK per Type III bonus.
| Type | Information |
|---|---|
| Layout | ![]() |
| Cartridge | Speedy Hedgehog (four Type III modules) |
| Bonus Module | Type III (+10% ATK each) |
| Slot Main Stats | ATK%, ATK, CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG |
| Substats | ATK% > ATK > CRIT Rate > Cycle Intensity |
Iroi’s healing and support effects scale off her attack stat, so ATK% and ATK come first. Add Cycle Intensity next to fire her Ultimate more often, then treat CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG as bonuses if you want her to contribute personal damage.
Skill priority
Level Ultimate first, then Skill, then QTE, and Basic Attack last. If Iroi only plays as a support and resources are tight, the skill levels barely affect her buffing, so you can upgrade them slowly. Her rotation is simple: enter, cast Ultimate if it is ready, then tap her Skill to heal and grant the team ATK boost.
| Priority | Skill |
|---|---|
| 1 | Ultimate |
| 2 | Skill |
| 3 | QTE |
| 4 | Basic Attack |
Best teams for Iroi
Iroi slots behind any main carry that wants to stay on field for long stretches. Her healing keeps them safe, and her arc turns that healing into a universal damage buff. She works best in Charge, Blossom, and Anima reaction cores.
Shinku Charge team (best overall)
Her strongest lineup is a Charge team led by Shinku. Iroi’s healing lets Shinku stay aggressive and keep her damage rotation moving, Hathor triggers reactions fast while adding personal damage, and Esper Zero keeps the cycle engine running. If you lack Hathor, Skia fills the same role.
| Main DPS | Sub-DPS | Cycle | Support |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shinku | Hathor | Esper Zero | Iroi |
Nanally Blossom team
Iroi’s passive duplicates Vita Buds, which extends Blossom uptime and fixes the healing and buff gap that Blossom teams usually have. Nanally deals the bulk of the damage through Vita Pistil reactions, Jiuyuan groups enemies, and Esper Zero keeps cycles flowing.
| Main DPS | Sub-DPS | Cycle | Support |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nanally | Jiuyuan | Esper Zero | Iroi |
Chaos and free-to-play options
Iroi can replace Haniel in a Chaos team, pairing with Hathor and Mint or Esper Zero for a Lakshana-heavy core. For a budget lineup, run any main DPS with Iroi, Jiuyuan for crowd control, and Esper Zero for reaction triggers. Even with low investment, that setup clears overworld and daily content reliably.
Awakening priority
For a pure support who maximizes buffing, A5 is the most important node because it adds a team-wide ATK boost based on Iroi’s base attack. A1 follows for faster Imagination regeneration, which keeps her Ultimate cycle smooth. A3 and A6 improve healing and revives, so prioritize them only when survivability is a problem.
| Node | Effect |
|---|---|
| A1 — Iterated Prisoner’s Dilemma | Increases Imagination gain and regenerates it while Iroi is off-field. |
| A2 — Strategy: Tit for Tat | Summons a lamb for an assist attack when any ally casts a skill. |
| A3 — Trait: Cooperative | Increases healing received by low-HP allies. |
| A4 — Trait: Retaliatory | Increases ATK ratio for allies in the Regression state. |
| A5 — Trait: Transparent | Adds a team ATK buff based on Iroi’s base ATK. |
| A6 — Trait: Forgiving | Grants HP and energy to characters revived by her Ultimate. |
Ascension materials
Taking Iroi from Lv.20 to Lv.80 costs 525,000 Beetle Coins plus a stack of silhouettes and her special ascension item. Maxing all four combat abilities adds a much larger Beetle Coin bill and several skill materials on top.
| Material | Amount |
|---|---|
| A Page from Delusion’s Shore | 86 |
| Fading Silhouette | 17 |
| Blurred Silhouette | 18 |
| Chaos Silhouette | 15 |
| Beetle Coins (ascension) | 525,000 |
Once she is geared, you will know the build is working when a single heal lifts your whole team’s damage output and Shinku or your carry can hold the field through longer fights without dropping. Keep Speedy Hedgehog fed with ATK% substats, keep her Ultimate on cooldown, and Iroi will carry the sustain for nearly any composition you put her in.
