In Enshrouded, the level 5 Fur Armor Set contains five parts: Fur Hood, Fur Chest, Fur Gloves, Fur Trousers, and Fur Boots. The Blacksmith workstation makes every piece. Crafting just one also completes the early quest “Forge Weaponry or Armor” and awards 150 EXP. The armor provides physical and magical resistance but no other stat bonuses, offering a straightforward improvement over the starting ragged gear.

Quick answer: Unlock the Blacksmith, gather 7 Animal Fur, 7 Torn Cloth, 9 String, and 5 Metal Scraps, then craft all five Fur pieces at the Blacksmith station.

Unlock the Blacksmith first

The Fur recipes only appear once Oswald Anders, the Blacksmith, is active at your base. You retrieve him during the quest “Find The Sleeping Survivor,” after which his crafting menu lists the full Fur Armor Set. Until he is summoned at your home flame altar, none of these pieces can be made.

Total materials for the full set

Crafting every piece once requires the following across all five recipes. Animal Fur and String come from hunting and the Hunter’s workstations, Torn Cloth drops from scavengers and containers, and Metal Scraps are the one material you will need to go out and farm.

Farm Metal Scraps at Rookmore

Rookmore is a scavenger settlement sitting just north across the gorge from Braelyn Bridge. It is the earliest reliable spot for Metal Scraps, which drop from the scavengers that live there and can be pulled from scrap metal piles scattered around the ruins.

Leave your home flame altar and travel toward Braelyn Bridge. Glide off the cliffside and down to Rookmore’s entrance for a quick route to the camp.
Defeat the scavengers, then loot their bodies, nearby containers, and scrap heaps. A floor trap lies on the ruined stone path; use the on-screen prompt to disarm it.

Keep clearing enemies until you have at least 5 Metal Scraps. You will also pick up Torn Cloth here, which counts toward the seven the full set needs.

Once you have your Metal Scraps, fast travel straight back to your Home Level 1 altar instead of walking, so you land next to the Blacksmith.

Fur Armor Set recipes

Each piece crafts instantly once you have the ingredients. The recipes split the Metal Scraps across three pieces, so the Chest, Trousers, and Gloves are the ones that consume your farmed scrap.

Make the Fur Hood first, then the Fur Chest, followed by the Fur Gloves, Fur Trousers, and Fur Boots. If you have the required materials, each piece is crafted immediately.
Open the Character tab (press C) and equip all five pieces to replace your starting ragged gear.

Fur Armor Set stats

The set offers equal physical and magical resistance per piece and no additional effects. Fully equipped, the five pieces add up to 58 physical and 58 magical armor.

How to confirm it worked

The moment you craft any armor piece at the Blacksmith, the quest “Forge Weaponry or Armor” completes and you see a “Quest Completed!” banner on screen along with the 150 EXP reward. Equipping the pieces updates your character appearance and raises your armor totals in the Character menu.

With all five pieces equipped, the Fur set carries you well past the ragged starter gear and gives you a solid resistance base while you gather materials for stronger armor sets later on.
