How to Find the Decorative Quick Ball in Pokémon Pokopia

The Decorative Quick Ball is one of the small Poké Ball ornaments tied to the Bubbly Basin area in Pokémon Pokopia. It waits on a pedestal deep inside an underwater cave, tucked behind breakable stone blocks, so you can only pick it up once Ditto can swim beneath the surface.

Quick answer: Learn Dive, then swim into the cave in Bubbly Basin. Break through the stone blocks blocking the entrance, reach the pedestal at the end, and interact with the small Poké Ball resting on it to collect the Decorative Quick Ball.

Requirements before you can reach the cave

The ball sits underwater, so the entire trip depends on the Dive move. Dive itself has a short chain of prerequisites, and the surrounding Bubbly Basin content is gated behind the Expansion Pass.

Learn Dive and reach the underwater cave

Install update 2.0.0 and make sure you already have Jump, Surf, and Bleak Beach’s Environment Level 5 cleared. Dive will not appear until all of these are in place.

Talk to Professor Tangrowth outside the Bleak Beach Pokémon Center. He points you toward a mysterious new island that has appeared off the coast to the north.

Transform into Lapras and surf over to the island. You will find Manaphy resting on the shore, asking for five bunches of Seaweed. Gather them from the island itself or from beaches in Bleak Beach, Palette Town, and the Dream Islands, then hand them over.

After the Seaweed is delivered, Manaphy teaches Ditto how to Dive. Dive kicks in automatically the moment you enter the water, wrapping Ditto in a bubble so you can move around freely below the surface.

Follow Manaphy’s advice and swim into the nearby cave. Hold B to swim, and clear the breakable stone blocks sealing the passage so you can push through to the interior.

Collecting the Decorative Quick Ball

At the end of the cave there is a small open area with a plinth in the center. A single small Poké Ball sits on top of it. Walk up and interact with it to add the decorative ball to your inventory.

Once you have it, swim back and speak with Manaphy again to wrap up the encounter before it heads off to find a new home.

Note: while diving, you can still Jump, hold ZL to float in place, and spin the left stick to drop to the bottom quickly. Those controls make it easier to line up with the pedestal.

Confirming it registered in your collection

The Decorative Quick Ball belongs to the Mermaid’s Gym decorative set, listed as No. 036 in Bubbly Basin. That set groups the ornamental Poké Balls together, and the Quick Ball is one of six in the collection.
