How to Get 7-Star Gogeta (Veguko IV) in All Star Tower Defense

Summon the base fusion unit, farm Black Star Balls in the Otherworld Raid, and evolve twice to reach the 7-star form.

Veguko IV, the Gogeta SSJ4 fusion, is a 7-star unit in All Star Tower Defense (ASTD) that you reach by summoning a base unit and evolving it twice with raid materials. The whole path runs through the Special Banner and the Otherworld Raid in World 2, so you need both a lucky (or persistent) summon and a group willing to clear the raid several times.

Quick answer: Summon “Koku and Vegu (Alternative)” from the Special Banner, then farm 8 Black Star Balls from the Otherworld Raid. Evolve the base into the 6-star “Koku and Vegu IV (Heroes)” with 4 balls, then evolve that into the 7-star “Veguko IV” with 4 more.

What you need before you start

The evolution chain has two hard requirements. First, you need the base fusion unit from the summon banner. Second, you need enough Black Star Balls, which only drop from the Otherworld Raid in World 2. Nothing else substitutes for these two items.

RequirementWhere it comes from
Koku and Vegu (Alternative) — base unitSpecial Banner (summon with Stardust)

Summon the base unit from the Special Banner

Open the summon menu and switch to the Special Banner. The featured unit you want is “Koku and Vegu (Alternative)”.
Check the unit preview to confirm you are on the right banner, then run a multi-summon with Stardust. Pulls are random, so you may need more than one multi if the base unit does not appear.

Once “Koku and Vegu (Alternative)” is in your inventory, lock it so it cannot be sold or traded by accident. Then open its evolution page to see the Black Star Ball requirement.

Farm Black Star Balls in the Otherworld Raid

Black Star Balls are the gating item for both evolutions. They come from the Otherworld Raid, which sits in World 2. A single successful clear yields one Black Star Ball, so plan on multiple runs.

Travel to World 2 and enter the Adventure lobby. Select the Otherworld Raid from the available modes.

Join a full lobby before starting. The raid is very hard to finish solo, and a group of 7 players clears it reliably. Bring strong units so the team can survive the “Evil Incarnate” boss.
Complete the raid to receive a Black Star Ball, then replay it until you have collected all 8. You need 4 for the first evolution and 4 for the second.

Note: A solo attempt is likely to fail. Queue with a full lobby to save time instead of retrying alone.

Evolve into 6-star, then 7-star

The evolution is a two-step chain. Each step spends 4 Black Star Balls, and the final result is the shiny 7-star Veguko IV.

After the final evolution, you can equip a blessing and level the unit up. In practice the unit reaches high levels quickly, and it becomes ready to place in battle once leveled.

Veguko IV stats and abilities

Veguko IV is a fusion unit with a very low placement cost and two manual abilities. It starts cheap and scales up through upgrades that unlock stronger beam attacks.

AttackDamageSPARangeCost
Base placement4,9023s60$100
Ultra Red Beam1,8604s60$600
Big Bang Blue Beam1,0036s80$1,000

Two manual abilities set the unit apart. “Bluff Beam” spawns multiple attacking clones that add extra damage output. The final upgrade unlocks “Positive Energy Stardust Breaker”, a full-screen cutscene attack that deals heavy area-of-effect damage.

How to confirm it worked

You know the process is complete when the unit in your inventory reads “Veguko IV” as a 7-star, shiny unit rather than “Koku and Vegu IV (Heroes)” or the base “Koku and Vegu (Alternative)”. If an evolution button is greyed out, the most common reason is that you have fewer than 4 Black Star Balls for that step, so return to the Otherworld Raid and clear it again until the count is met.
