Helperbot is the cardboard robot that has been sitting broken in the Forsaken lobby under the name D3functB0t, and it is now being tested as a playable Support survivor. Clips from testers show it healing teammates, handing out speed, and pinging generators through walls, which has made “how do I unlock it” one of the most common questions in the game’s community right now.
Quick answer: You cannot get Helperbot yet. It is not selectable in the survivor menu for regular players, access is limited to testers, and no official release date has been confirmed.
Helperbot release status in Forsaken
Helperbot is listed as an upcoming survivor, not a live one. Public testing began during the Forsaken Summer Games 2026 event, which is why full matches with the character keep surfacing in gameplay footage even though the survivor select screen still does not show it for everyone else.
Being seen in the hands of testers is the strongest signal so far that the character is genuinely in the pipeline rather than a concept. It does not lock in a launch window, though. There is no confirmed release date or time for Helperbot at the moment, and every number attached to it can still change before it ships.
The simplest way to check your own account is to open the survivor list. If Helperbot has gone live for you, it will appear there as a selectable Support character alongside Elliot, Dusekkar, Builderman, and Taph. Until then, nothing you buy or grind will speed it up.
How Helperbot is expected to be unlocked
Helperbot’s story ties directly to the damaged robot standing in the lobby. After arriving in The Spectre’s realm, the character was nicknamed D3functB0t and has been slowly repaired by Builderman using parts pulled from generators. Veeronica even left a handwritten get well soon note on the desk beside it.
That repair angle is why players expect the unlock to run through a quest rather than a straight shop purchase, in the same way Jane Doe was earned. Treat that as unconfirmed. The connection between Helperbot and Builderman has been teased by the developers, but the exact unlock requirements have not been published.
Note: Helperbot is a separate thing from Helper Bot MK2 and from the older fan-made “Helper Bot” concept that circulated earlier. The version in testing uses the Mr. Roboto bundle with the Mr. Robot hat, and its moveset was built by Enoderen.

Helperbot’s numbers are standard survivor fare rather than anything exotic. It is a Support character with an 80 HP pool, so it dies as fast as most other survivors if the killer commits to a chase.

Helperbot abilities and cooldowns
Everything Helperbot does is aimed at the rest of the team. It does not carry a tool, food, or drink the way other survivors do, and its kit is built around area buffs plus map information.

The generator and item reveal is the part that changes how a lobby plays. It fires on its own without input, so an entire team gets a repeating wallhack on objectives and pickups just by having Helperbot alive.
When a teammate asks for help and the ability is not ready, the game returns a cooldown message on screen rather than doing nothing silently, so you always know whether the request landed. Helperbot can also pick up and use medkits like other survivors, and despite being a robot it can request and eat Elliot’s pizza.
Helperbot appearance and skins seen so far
The design is deliberately homemade. Helperbot is a slim Robloxian frame wrapped in cheap material, with a flipped cardboard box for a head, a robot face and buttons drawn on in black marker, three wobbly antennas, and aluminum foil limbs. The clothing texture comes straight from the Mr. Robot bundle.
Testing footage has shown the default look plus a few alternates, including a green-tinted GPP skin, a shiny golden variant, and a Tradebot skin with trenchcoat detailing. Colour variants such as the orange and brown build have also appeared in clips. None of these are confirmed as final, and skin availability at launch has not been detailed.
Where Helperbot comes from
Helperbot, model name Mr. Robot, is lifted from the NPC in Roblox’s own Welcome to Roblox Building, a sandbox title that entered beta in December 2010. The character belongs to Roblox’s long-running Mr. Robot line, which started with the Mr. Robot hat in September 2009 and later expanded into the Mr. Robot bundle in August 2018.
Mr. Robot was used heavily in Roblox promotional art, merchandise, the Roblox anthem video, and even a dedicated page in the ROBLOX Character Encyclopedia, before being pushed aside by newer bundles and rthro figures.
Is he a real robot or just a man with a carboard box on his head? Maybe he’s a Noob in a unconvincing disguise?
For now the practical answer stays the same. Watch the lobby robot, keep an eye on the survivor list after each update, and ignore any post promising a specific unlock date, because none has been given. When Helperbot does go live, its cooldowns and buff values are the numbers most likely to have shifted from what testers are running today.
