How to Get Unvaulted Fortnite Battle Pass Skins (Chapter 5 Season 4)

Where to find the Absolute Doom Marvel outfits in the Item Shop, what each bundle costs, and which seasons qualify next.

Fortnite Battle Pass outfits used to vanish forever once a season ended. That changed with Unvaulted, the program that moves older Battle Pass cosmetics into the Item Shop as standalone bundles. The first wave brings back Marvel skins from Chapter 5 Season 4: Absolute Doom, so players who skipped that season can finally buy them.

Quick answer: Open Fortnite, go to the Item Shop, find the Unvaulted section near the top, then buy any bundle or individual cosmetic you want. The purchased items appear in your Locker immediately.

Buy Unvaulted Chapter 5 Season 4 skins in the Item Shop

Every returning outfit is sold through the regular Item Shop, not behind a season pass. You pay in V-Bucks, and there is no progression to grind. The first batch covers Gwenpool, Mysterio, Captain Jones, Peelverine, and War Machine.

Launch Fortnite and open the Item Shop from the main menu.
Locate the Unvaulted section. It is usually placed near the top of the shop layout.
Scroll through the available bundles or pick the separate items you want, such as a single skin, pickaxe, or glider.
Click and hold the Purchase button to confirm the buy.
Open your Locker and equip the new cosmetics. If an item shows up in your Locker, the purchase went through.

Each outfit comes with a full bundle that packs in the matching back bling, pickaxe, glider, emote, contrail, and wrap. You can also buy most pieces on their own. A bundle saves V-Bucks if you want the whole set.

What Unvaulted is and why these skins came back

Epic Games announced the program on its official account, confirming that outfits from past Battle Passes would start appearing in the shop as separate bundles. The Absolute Doom skins were the first to make the jump.

The shift reverses Fortnite’s old promise that Battle Pass content stayed exclusive to the players who earned it. Epic confirmed the policy change in August 2024, setting a fixed 18-month vault period before any qualifying cosmetic can return. Chapter 5 Season 4 ran from August 16 to November 2, 2024, so its window has now passed, making it the first season eligible to be unvaulted.

Which Battle Passes qualify for Unvaulted

The change only applies to Battle Passes from Chapter 5 Season 4 onward. Any pass released before that, from Chapter 1 Season 1 through Chapter 5 Season 3, stays exclusive and is not coming back. Each eligible season becomes available 18 months after it ends.

Note: Epic reserves the right to keep certain cosmetics permanently exclusive. If an item is never returning, players are notified rather than left guessing.

What is not included in the Unvaulted release

The Super Styles and certain bonus reward styles for these Marvel outfits are not part of the Item Shop release. Those upgraded looks stay exclusive to players who owned and progressed the original Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle Pass.

The first wave also leaves out several Absolute Doom outfits. Doctor Doom, Shuri, and Emma Frost did not appear in the launch lineup, but they are expected to reach the shop later in the same window.

Pricing now follows the standard Item Shop model. The skins are no longer bundled together for the old 950 V-Bucks Battle Pass cost, so a full set runs higher than the original pass price. Once Absolute Doom is cleared out, attention turns to the next seasons whose 18-month windows close, with new passes joining the rotation as their own timers expire.
