The Void Evolution portal is the second reset layer in Sell Lemons, and it gates the biggest income multipliers in the game. It shows up as a purple portal on your base that starts tiny and keeps growing as you stack investors. Once it reaches full size, you can step through it, complete a short parkour, and evolve your fruit for a permanent speed boost.
Quick answer: Rebirth until you reach a total of 501.2 quadrillion investors. The full-sized Void portal will appear behind Joe the Alien, next to LemonDash and Lemon Depot. Walk in, cross the floating rocks to the Void Altar, and interact with it to unlock the Evolution menu.

Investor requirement to unlock the Void portal
The portal and its menu unlock once your total investor count hits 501.2 quadrillion. That total counts investors you currently own, investors already spent on Powers, and investors you would gain from a pending Rebirth. In practice that lands somewhere around 500 to 510 quadrillion, and most players reach it after roughly five or six Rebirths.
The only way to earn investors is by performing Rebirths. Rebirth becomes available after Joe the Alien lands on your base with a spaceship. Each Rebirth wipes your money and tycoon progress but permanently raises your money multiplier and adds investors, which you can track at the bottom right of the Rebirth menu.
Note: The small portal can appear well before you can use it. It first shows up as a miniature opening and slowly grows with every batch of investors until it reaches maximum size at the 501.2 quadrillion mark. A half-grown portal is normal and just means you need more Rebirths.

You will know it worked when the Evolution menu appears under the Rebirth menu. It shows your current fruit, your evolution number, a silhouette of the next fruit, and a percentage bar tracking progress to the next evolution.
What evolving resets and what it rewards
Evolving is a hard reset. Each evolution clears your money, all tycoon upgrades, all investors, and all Powers bought with investors. The one exception is Powers purchased with Robux, which carry over.
In exchange, every evolution grants a 42x Global Speed multiplier that applies across all departments, so you earn money far faster than before. The multiplier stacks multiplicatively, not additively. Two evolutions give 42 × 42 = 1,764x rather than 84x, which is why dedicated players push the count as high as possible.
Each evolution also swaps your primary fruit to a higher-value one. You start on Lemon and move to Orange after the first evolution, then continue up the chain. After the ninth fruit, Purity, the line loops back to Lemon with a +1 tag and repeats.
| Evolution | Fruit | Required total investors | Total speed multiplier |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Orange | 501.2 Quadrillion | x42 |
| 2 | Lime | 19.95 Nonillion | x1,764 |
| 3 | Grapefruit | 794.3 Tredecillion | x74,088 |
| 4 | Tangerine | 31.62 Octodecillion | x3,111,696 |
| 5 | Pomelo | 1.259 Tresvigintillion | x130,691,232 |
| 6 | Abyssalime | 50.12 Septemvigintillion | x5,489,031,744 |
| 7 | Nullfruit | 1.995 Duotrigintillion | x230,539,333,248 |
| 8 | Voidlemon | 79.43 Sextrigintillion | x9,682,651,996,416 |
| 9 | Purity | 3.162 Unquadragintillion | x406,671,383,849,472 |
If you would rather not grind the full investor requirement each time, you can evolve instantly for 160 Robux. That option speeds up progression but is otherwise identical to a standard evolution.

Why the portal won’t open and how to fix it
The Void Evolution stays locked until you reach exactly 501.2 quadrillion total investors, so the most common reason the portal won’t open is simply being short of the threshold. Remember that investors spent on Powers still count toward the total, so check the full figure rather than just your current spendable amount.
If you have clearly hit the requirement but still cannot access evolutions, restart the game first. If that does not fix it, report the bug in the official Bloxbyte Discord server.
The most efficient rhythm is to evolve consistently rather than hoard. If a single tycoon upgrade is taking you more than about 10 minutes to afford, keep Rebirthing to build investors, evolve once you meet the requirement, and then get back to rebuilding your tycoon with the new multiplier in place.
