Hide-and-Sneak is one of the stealth challenges you can play in Pokémon Pokopia, and it drops you outside the Pokémon Center with a single job. You need to slip past a group of patrolling Pokémon and reach the PC without being caught. It sounds simple, but the hunters cluster near your goal, so the last few steps are where most runs fall apart.
Quick answer: Turn on Camouflage the moment the round starts, then move toward the Pokémon Center PC and touch it before time runs out. Whenever a hunting Pokémon shows a question mark and you hear a heartbeat, stop moving completely until it looks away.
How the round works
Befriending Zorua unlocks the Camouflage ability, which lets you transform into any nearby object. You can start a game by talking to Zorua, and sometimes another Pokémon will invite you to play. Once it begins, you are teleported away from the Pokémon Center and given three minutes to reach the PC.
Your starting spot is semi-random. You might land in front of the building, off to one side, or behind it. The Pokémon searching for you stay close to the PC, which means you can usually cover most of the distance freely and only risk detection near the end.
Detection follows a strict pattern. If a hunter notices movement, it investigates. A question mark appears over its head and a heartbeat sound plays. If it then confirms you, the run resets and you are placed at a new location. You win the instant you touch the PC.

Camouflage is the core of every successful run. It does not make you invisible, but disguising yourself as a nearby object makes you far harder to spot than moving around in your normal form. Use it before you take a single step.
Just as important is knowing who the hunters are. Zorua is always one of them, and the others are chosen randomly each round. Look for the Pokémon with speech bubbles over their heads. You can walk freely past any Pokémon that is not hunting, so identifying the threats early keeps you from wasting caution on harmless bystanders.
When a hunter spots you, freeze instantly. Do not move at all until it turns away and continues its patrol. Then creep forward slowly again. Panicking and running is the fastest way to get sent back to the start.
Best routes to the PC
The hunters usually gather around the front of the Pokémon Center. That makes the back of the building the safest approach in most rounds. If you spawn behind the Center, you can hug the side and reach the PC with far less exposure than a straight run through the front.

Water can also work in your favor. In an area like Bleak Beach, a canal runs in front of the Pokémon Center. You can swim through it undetected and surface fairly close to the PC, cutting down the distance you need to sneak on foot.
Prepare the area before you play
If you keep losing, change the playing field itself. Place extra furniture and objects around the space near the Pokémon Center before starting a round. Everything you set down gives you more cover to hide behind and more shapes to Camouflage into, which raises your odds on tougher spawns.
There is also an extreme setup that some players use to force a favorable spawn. Surrounding the area around the Pokémon Center with lava can push the game to place you almost directly on top of the PC. It takes real effort to build and is far from necessary, but it exists if you want an instant finish.
Even with good preparation, luck matters. Your starting position and the direction the hunters happen to be facing shift every round. Some attempts will simply be easier than others, so keep restarting and let a friendly spawn come to you.
Multiplayer rules
Hide-and-Sneak can also be played with up to three other people. Everyone tries to reach the PC at the same time, and the first player to touch it wins the race. The same detection and Camouflage rules apply, so speed and clean movement decide it.
Rewards for winning
In the standard game with Zorua, your prizes depend on how cleanly and often you win.
| Reward | Quantity | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Fresh Carrot | 4 | Win without being detected |
| Fresh Carrot | 3 | Win the game |
| Stardust | 2 | Win several times in a row |

Zorua’s Hide-and-Sneak Contest event
Hide-and-Sneak is also tied to a limited-time contest that runs from 5am on Sunday, 19th July through 4:59am on Monday, 27th July local time. You must have rebuilt a Pokémon Center to take part, and the event needs an internet connection to unlock the first time. After that, you can time travel back to those dates if you miss the window.
Find Zorua standing outside the Pokémon Center during the event and talk to them to begin. It sometimes takes a couple of tries before the option to play appears, so speak to Zorua again if nothing happens at first.
The contest version gives you two minutes and 30 seconds, and your rewards scale with how fast you reach the goal. Finish in under 20 seconds and you can earn everything in a single run. The prizes, from the slowest completion time up to the fastest, are Lumber, Leppa Berries, Honey, Large Lost Relics, the Hide-and-Sneak Trophy, Rainbow Feathers, Silver Feathers, Star Piece, Pokémetal, and Rare Pokémetal.
You will know a run counted when you touch the PC and the round ends in your favor. The Hide-and-Sneak Trophy also records your best time, and you can see that time by interacting with the trophy afterward.
Master the Camouflage-and-freeze routine, set up the area to your advantage, and keep restarting until you draw a spawn near the back of the Center. That combination is what turns a frustrating stealth run into a fast, clean win.
