Limbus Company’s Best Identities for June 2026, Ranked

The SSS tier now sits far above the rest, and three Identities decide where your Thread and Lunacy should go.

The SSS tier now sits far above the rest, and three Identities decide where your Thread and Lunacy should go.

Limbus Company still has only twelve Sinners, but each one carries dozens of Identities you pull through gacha, and the gap between the top picks and everyone else has never been wider. The June 2026 meta is shaped by a new SSS tier and a Rupture archetype that runs the table, so where you spend Thread and Lunacy matters more than usual heading toward Canto 10.

Quick answer: Prioritize the three SSS Identities first — Heishou Pack – Mao Branch Adept Faust, The House of Spiders: The Index Nursefather Yi Sang, and The Lord of Hongyuan Hong Lu. They clear current Refraction Railway and Mirror Dungeon content even in messy team comps.

SSS-tier Identities: the three that broke the meta

The SSS tier exists because a handful of Identities operate on a level the rest of the roster cannot match. These units do multiple jobs at once, scale harder in long fights, and stay strong even without a perfect team built around them.

IdentitySinnerRoleWhy it tops the list
Heishou Pack – Mao Branch AdeptFaustRupture DPS / TankDamage modifiers no other ID can reach; generates her own stacks and redirects unopposed attacks
The House of Spiders: The Index NursefatherYi SangDPS / Support / HealFirst Identity to use all three physical types; heals while dealing damage, freeing a team slot
The Lord of HongyuanHong LuPoise + Rupture supportScaling that keeps climbing past turn five in long multi-wave fights
Blade of the House of SpidersRyoshuDPSTop-end damage output anchoring the House of Spiders lineup
The House of Spiders: The Middle NursefatherOutisDPSPremium damage with the same multi-role flexibility as the other Spiders units

Mao Branch Adept Faust is the standout. Her Skill 3-1 lands numbers that would look broken on any other unit, and she keeps her own Tianjiu Star’s Blade stacks rolling through her passive. In a no-plan run paired with The Lord of Hongyuan Hong Lu and a Heishou Yi Sang support, she still cleared, putting up per-rotation damage around 900 — higher than dedicated damage dealers manage under ideal setups.

The Index Nursefather Yi Sang changes how you build entirely. Because he covers Slash, Pierce, and Blunt while healing and stacking debuffs, you can run an extra damage dealer where a support slot used to sit. The Lord of Hongyuan Hong Lu is the quiet third pick. He never looks flashy in a short showcase, but his clash advantage and damage keep printing exactly when other Hong Lu options run out of gas.

SS and S+ tier: the strongest picks below the ceiling

Plenty of units below SSS clear all current content when their teams are built correctly. The gap between S and SSS feels larger than it actually is for most of what you will run, so do not panic if your account leans on these instead.

Status archetypes that clear Refraction Railway

A tier rating only means something inside a team archetype. Rupture is currently the strongest, with Bleed close behind as the most forgiving build for players who do not want to micromanage speed.

Rupture (top archetype)

The Talisman Sinclair nerf reduced his dominance, and the Mao Branch units stepped in to fix Rupture’s old problem of inconsistent count application. You now build around potency instead of fighting for stacks. Core pieces are Mao Branch Adept Faust, Mao Branch Ryoshu and Outis for stack speed, Si Branch Gregor or Rodion for Deathrite support, and The Lord of Hongyuan Hong Lu as the carry, with Jeong’s Office Rep Ishmael as a flex slot.

Bleed (Bloodfiend and Kurokumo mix)

The Manager of La Manchaland Don Quixote leads, supported by Ring Nursefather Hong Lu as the Bleed printer, The Princess of La Manchaland Rodion, The Pequod Captain Ishmael, The Barber of La Manchaland Outis, and Kurokumo Clan Wakashu Heathcliff as a Slash anchor. It hits hard without needing tight speed control.

Burn, Sinking, and Poise

Burn is the endurance build for long fights, led by You Branch Adept Heathcliff and Firefist Office Survivor Gregor with Lobotomy E.G.O::Lamp Gregor support. Sinking is playable again thanks to new House of Spiders pieces, anchored by Wuthering Heights Chief Butler Outis alongside Wild Hunt Heathcliff and Dieci Rodion, though some bosses still resist the status. Poise rewards turn control, built around The Pinky Apprentice Sinclair, the Index Proxy Don Quixote, and Blade Lineage Mentor Meursault.

W, S, E, and PE markings explained

Availability decides your pull plan as much as raw power does. These tags tell you whether an Identity is in the standard pool or locked behind a limited window.

MarkingMeaning
WWalpurgisnacht exclusive, tied to events that run roughly every four months; returns only on the next rotation
SPrior season Identity, locked to a season’s banner
EEvent-limited, available only during specific banner or seasonal periods
PEPrior event Identity that may rotate back into availability

Mao Branch Adept Faust carries the W marking, which makes her the highest-priority shard target right now. When her banner cycles out, she returns to the Walpurgisnacht pool, and that only spins back up every few months. The Index Nursefather Yi Sang and other House of Spiders units are event-limited and will eventually shift to prior event status.

Where to spend Thread and Lunacy first

Pulling the highest-rated Identity without checking team synergy just throws Lunacy at the wall. Pick an archetype, then build it out before chasing a second one.

Target the SSS units that match your preferred status. If you want the strongest current build, prioritize Mao Branch Adept Faust for Rupture, since her W marking makes her the hardest to get back later.
Fill out one full team before branching. A Rupture core or a Bleed core will clear current Refraction Railway content without needing a second archetype.
Push your SSS and SS units to Uptie 4 first. Their value holds across content types, so maxing them returns more than spreading Thread thin across lower tiers.

Note: Limbus Company is not pay to win. Mirror Dungeon and the Battle Pass hand out enough free resources to build a strong roster, and even base Identities can clear content with the right team. Tier placements shift with every new Season, Refraction Railway, and balance patch, so treat these rankings as a map for your pulls rather than a fixed rule.
