Saber Alter shows up in the game’s menus as Excalibur Morgan, a late-game sword you buy from the Saber Alter NPC on Legend’s Island. Getting it means farming a specific list of materials out of the Ryudo Cave raid, and unlocking its full moveset means clearing seven mastery quests from a separate NPC afterward.
Quick answer: Farm Ryudo Cave with a Ryudo Key to collect the required drops, hand them plus 20,000,000 coins and 2,000 gems to the Saber Alter NPC on Legend’s Island to buy Excalibur Morgan, then finish all seven quests from Wigman [Mastery] to unlock the sword’s R move.

Excalibur Morgan purchase requirements
Talking to the Saber Alter NPC opens the buy list for Excalibur Morgan. You need every material below at the listed amount, plus both currencies, before the Buy option completes. This is late-game content aimed around level 1700, so bring a strong damage setup before committing to the grind.
| Requirement | Amount | Where it drops |
|---|---|---|
| Corrupted Holy Sword | 1 | Saber Alter boss, Phase 3 (2.9%) |
| Dark Mana Core | 3 | Saber Alter boss, Phase 3 (13.05%) |
| Servant Covenant | 5 | Medusa, Phase 1 (23.2%) |
| Dragon Blood | 10 | Saber Alter boss, Phase 3 (33.35%) |
| Grail Mud | 750 | Mobs in the Phase 2 dark room |
| Coins | 20,000,000 | Standard currency grind |
| Gems | 2,000 | Standard gem grind |
The Corrupted Holy Sword is the slowest piece because it has the lowest drop rate on the list. Expect to finish Dragon Blood and Dark Mana Core well before that single rare sword drops.

Add to Google Preferences →How Ryudo Cave supplies every material
All of the crafting materials come from Ryudo Cave, and you enter it with a Ryudo Key. That key drops from the normal Saber boss on Legend’s Island at a 7.25% chance, so farm that boss first to build up a stock of keys before you start running the raid.
The raid runs in three phases, and each phase either gates your progress or hands over one of the required drops.
| Phase | Objective | Drops |
|---|---|---|
| Phase 1 | Defeat Medusa (510 million HP) | Servant Covenant |
| Phase 2 | Survive the dark room for 60 seconds | Grail Mud |
| Phase 3 | Defeat the Saber Alter boss (1.02 billion HP) | Dragon Blood, Dark Mana Core, Corrupted Holy Sword |
Do not rush past Phase 2 if you still need Grail Mud, since 750 of it only comes from the mobs during that survival window. Once you reach Phase 3, bring your best weapon for the boss because it has over a billion HP and its rare drops carry the whole grind.
Steps to buy Excalibur Morgan

Seven mastery quests to unlock the R move
Fresh out of the shop, Excalibur Morgan has an unmastered moveset with Z, X, C, and V ready but R locked. To open R, equip the sword and complete all seven quests from the Wigman [Mastery] NPC on Legend’s Island. Several of these send you back into Ryudo Cave, so keep a supply of keys handy.
| # | Requirement | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Deal 35,000,000 damage with Excalibur Morgan | Farm it on a boss such as Wizard Ichigo |
| 2 | Equip “The Tyrant King” title | Earned by defeating Saber Alter in Ryudo Cave |
| 3 | Defeat Medusa 10 times | Phase 1 of Ryudo Cave |
| 4 | Defeat Corruption 50 times | Phase 2 dark room mobs |
| 5 | Defeat Blackening 50 times | Phase 2 dark room mobs |
| 6 | Die to the dark within Ryudo Cave 5 times | Do this only when you are ready to progress |
| 7 | Defeat Saber Alter 15 times on Hard or Extreme | Save for your final grind phase |
Note: The Tyrant King title also boosts Excalibur Morgan damage, so equipping it early helps the 35,000,000 damage quest go faster. Since Corruption and Blackening both spawn in the same dark room, you can chip away at quests 4 and 5 during the same runs you use for the Medusa and boss counts.
Confirming the unlock
You know the sword is fully mastered when the R slot flips from “R – Lock” to a usable move on the moveset bar. At that point Excalibur Morgan runs its complete kit, and the R input triggers the powerful finisher that stayed sealed while the mastery quests were incomplete. If R is still locked, one of the seven quests has not registered as finished, so return to Wigman [Mastery] and check which counter is short.
From there the sword is ready to carry into the rest of the game’s endgame content, and the same Ryudo Cave loop you used for materials keeps working if you want to farm additional rare drops such as the Saber Alter outfit.
