The Vasto Lorde Sword sits at the end of a long chain in Lineage Piece, gated behind four quests, a boss farm, and the Final Elegy raid on Hueco Mundo Island. You cannot buy it outright with coins, and there is no shortcut that skips the quest line. The whole thing runs through one vendor, the Vasto Lorde NPC, but you only reach that vendor after clearing everything the Inner Hueco Mundo NPC hands you first.

What you need before starting
The entire quest line runs on the Tensa Zangetsu weapon, so you must already own it before the Inner Hueco Mundo NPC will let you begin. Zangetsu is sold by Ichigo at Hueco Mundo, and Tensa Zangetsu is its upgraded form, so make sure it is in your inventory first. Two of the four quests specifically track kills and skill uses tied to that weapon, and nothing else counts toward them.
Travel to Hueco Mundo through the purple Teleport portal, then head to the large white dome in the center of the island. The NPC labeled Inner Hueco Mundo stands near the entrance. Press E to talk and start the chain.

These four quests unlock one after another. You cannot start the next until the current one shows complete, and the tracker updates automatically the moment each condition is met.

Farm the raid materials from Vizard Ichigo
After the four quests, the Inner Hueco Mundo NPC lists a set of materials you need to unlock the Final Elegy raid. Every one of these drops from Vizard Ichigo, so keep fighting him past the 15 kills the quest required until you have the full set.

Clear the Final Elegy raid for Vasto Lorde Souls
With the materials in hand, enter The Final Elegy raid. The fight has two phases. First you have to survive the boss for two full minutes, then the encounter opens up and you can bring it down. The boss has a chance to drop a Vasto Lorde Soul, and you need two of them.
Because the soul is a chance drop, one clear may not be enough. Run the raid again until you are holding two Vasto Lorde Souls before moving on.
Buy the sword from the Vasto Lorde NPC
Once you have both souls, take them to the Vasto Lorde NPC to complete the purchase. Alongside the souls, the vendor charges a heavy currency cost, so make sure your wallet is topped up before you interact.
