Blox Fruits Update 30: Magnet Fruit and Sea 1 Rework Patch Notes

Magnetic Power stages, Maximum Overdrive, island secrets, teleporters, and a level cap that climbs to 3,000.

Magnetic Power stages, Maximum Overdrive, island secrets, teleporters, and a level cap that climbs to 3,000.

Update 30 is the biggest change Gamer Robot Inc. has made to the oldest part of Blox Fruits. The whole First Sea has been rebuilt, every island now hides three secrets, the grinding cap finally moves past 2,800, and there’s a new fruit built around collecting scrap and turning into a mech. It went live on September 5, 2026 at 8AM PT / 11AM ET / 3PM GMT / 4PM CET.

Quick answer: Update 30 is live now. Join a fresh server, complete any one Sea 1 secret to unlock the World Map on your HUD, and secret levels will start pushing you past level 2,800 toward the new 3,000 cap.

How to confirm you’re on the Update 30 build

Blox Fruits servers roll over in waves, so the first server you land in can still be running the old version for a few minutes after the update drops. The fastest check is visual. If the HUD, health and energy bars, and the stats menu still look like the old layout, you’re on a stale server.

Leave and rejoin Blox Fruits to get placed in a newly spun-up server. Once you’re on the new build, the redesigned menu and NPC dialogue UI show up immediately, and the reworked island geometry in Sea 1 is impossible to miss.

Sea 1 secrets and the new level 3,000 cap

The headline progression change is secret levels. Normal grinding still stops at level 2,800, but Sea 1 now contains 40 new secrets, and finishing them awards levels on top of that ceiling. Clear every secret level currently in the game and you land at level 3,000.

Secrets aren’t one single type of content. Some are small puzzles, some are quests that spawn at random, and some are fights against awakened versions of Sea 1 bosses. All 16 Sea 1 bosses have been refreshed, and each now has a hidden awakened mode you can trigger. A Secrets Master NPC has also been added to Sea 1, and he’s holding a secret of his own.

World Map stars and island teleporters

Completing your first secret unlocks a proper World Map on the HUD. It tracks every Sea 1 island and shows how far along you are on each one, so you’re not guessing which island still has something hidden on it.

Stars on an islandWhat it means
★☆☆One secret completed
★★☆Two secrets completed
★★★All three secrets done — island fully cleared

Every island holds exactly three secrets, and finishing all three unlocks that island as a teleport destination. The more islands you three-star, the larger your fast travel network across the First Sea gets, which is the real reason to bother with this system after you’ve already hit max level.

What changed across the 16 Sea 1 islands

All 16 islands of the First Sea have been reimagined with new layouts, buildings, textures, and lighting. Places you’ve run through a thousand times, like Pirate Village, Desert, Marine Fortress, the Colosseum, Prison, Magma Village, Sky Island, and Underwater City, look substantially different, and several have reworked interiors rather than just fresh paint.

NPCs got the same treatment, with updated appearances and a new dialogue UI. The Gacha Dealer has moved to Middletown, so if you go looking for it in the old spot you’ll come up empty.

Magnet Fruit: how Magnetic Power works

Magnet doesn’t play like anything else in the game because its strength is tied to a meter you have to maintain. The passive is called Magnetic Power, and it fills as you collect scrap around you. As it fills, your fruit’s arms physically grow bigger.

There are three stages. Each one makes your M1s hit harder, extends how long your M1 combo chains, and adds defense. The catch is that taking damage drains the meter, and getting hit repeatedly can knock you back down a stage, so the fruit punishes you for sitting still and eating hits.

Magnetic Power stageMagnetic Pull effect
Stage 1No pull
Stage 2Nearby enemies are dragged toward you
Stage 3Stronger pull with a larger radius

Base moveset (Z, X, C, F)

Every Magnet ability behaves differently depending on whether you tap the key or hold it, which effectively doubles the kit.

MoveTapHold
Z — Scrap ArsenalFires magnetic projectiles that pull enemies in; they stack for more AoE and stronger pullFires a beam that deals bonus damage on a direct hit
X — Magnetic OverchargeTraps enemies in a magnetic cageMore damage and a bigger range
C — Polarizing DropDrags an opponent into the air and slams them down; also usable with no targetPulls in and absorbs every piece of scrap around you
F — Polarity DriveA grab that forcibly unequips the target’s swordFree flight with skills usable in the air; press F again mid-flight to fire the jetpack at an enemy

Flight isn’t unlimited. Getting hit multiple times within 10 seconds cuts it off, so treat it as repositioning rather than a permanent air game. The F grab that strips an opponent’s sword is the standout in PvP, since forcing a swordmain to re-equip mid-fight buys you a free combo window.

Maximum Overdrive transformation

Pressing V turns you into a mech. While transformed you take heavily reduced damage and guns barely scratch you, but lightning attacks hit you harder than normal. That’s a real, exploitable weakness rather than a footnote.

MoveTapHold
ZLaunches aim-assisted missilesFires a massive blast
XFires a blast that explodes on impactCreates a Magnetic Room that drags enemies back to the center when they dash out, damaging them
CGathers scrap and slams it down for heavy AoE damageSpins into a helicopter attack
FUnequips the swords of everyone caughtMuch faster flight for travel

Note: the transformed X and C moves cannot be cancelled once you start them. Commit only when you’re sure the hit is going to land. Pressing V again ends the transformation and leaves the mech behind, where it pulls nearby enemies toward itself and self-destructs.

Magnet Fruit price and mastery requirements

Magnet is available as a permanent unlock from the Permanent Fruit Shop. It costs 3,500 Robux at standard price, dropping to 2,800 Robux if you have the Plus discount applied.

You don’t get the full kit on day one. Only Scrap Arsenal is available immediately, and the rest unlock as you grind mastery on the fruit. The transformation is the last thing you’ll see.

Maximum Overdrive [V]300

Because Scrap Arsenal is your only tool early on, the quickest path to Mastery 75 is spamming it on low-level mobs. The Z tap version’s stacking pull makes grouped enemies easy to farm, so grinding it against clustered NPCs is faster than picking off single targets.

Magnet Event schedule and Magnet Gacha rewards

The Magnet Event runs on a fixed hourly clock. At every XX:00 mark, magnetic enemies spawn across the world powered up with Magnet abilities of their own, so they don’t fight like the regular mobs they replace. Killing them drops Magnet Tokens.

Tokens are spent on the new Magnet Gacha at the Blox Fruits Gacha Dealer, which now sits in Middletown. The pool excludes common fruits entirely, so every roll can only land on uncommon or better. It also contains one profile background, two accessories, a secret reward, and a chance at a skinned fruit from the chase tier.

The chase reward tier covers these skins:

  • Lime Blade
  • Topaz Diamond
  • Scarlet Ghost
  • Yellow Lightning
  • Starlight Gravity
  • Runic Fiend
  • Arcsteel Magnet

Those same chase items are also sold in the shop as the Chromatic Gacha Box. Drop rates for the gacha aren’t published, so treat any percentage chart floating around as a guess.

Interface changes, dealer previews, and Dragon’s return

The quality of life batch applies across all three seas, not just the reworked one. The HUD and stats menu have been rebuilt, there’s a new loading screen and team selection screen, and the player profile now has proper tabs, friend indicators, and a search function.

Two changes will save you the most Beli. Weapon Dealers now let you examine a weapon before you buy it, and Boat Dealers preview ships you’ve unlocked. Boss drops are also previewed when you walk up to a boss, so you can see what’s on the table before committing to the fight.

On the gacha side, Dragon East and Dragon West are rollable again at the Blox Fruits Gacha Dealer.

If you’re already at 2,800, the practical order of business is straightforward. Complete one secret anywhere in Sea 1 to switch on the World Map, then work island by island for the three-star clears, since those unlock the teleporters that make the rest of the grind far less painful. The Magnet Event runs on the hour regardless, so you can bank tokens while you’re out hunting secrets.
