Marvel Rivals goes offline for scheduled maintenance on June 12, 2026, to roll out the Season 8.5 update. The downtime brings Cyclops to the roster, a new K’un-Lun arena, the 616 Vault sale, and a fresh batch of Twitch Drops. Every platform is taken down at the same time, so PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players all lose access during the window.

Quick answer: Maintenance starts at 09:00 UTC on June 12, 2026, and is expected to last about two hours, so servers should return around 11:00 UTC.

Release time: June 12, 2026, 09:00 UTC

Season 8.5 maintenance schedule (start and end times)

Servers are taken offline starting at 09:00 UTC. During this window you cannot log in or play, and the game shows a maintenance message if you try to connect. The estimated duration is two hours, which puts the expected return at roughly 11:00 UTC. That end time can slip if the team hits technical issues while pushing a new hero and map into the build.

How to confirm servers are back online

You will know maintenance is over when the client lets you log in without the offline notice. New Season 8.5 content appears in the menus once you reconnect, including Cyclops in the hero list and the updated store bundles. If the connection screen still shows a maintenance message after 11:00 UTC, the window has been extended and you simply need to retry a little later.

What launches when servers return

The headline addition is Cyclops, Scott Summers, who finally joins the battlefield after months of teasing. The update also adds the Bounty Annihilation (18 vs. 18) map K’un-Lun: Shenloong Arena, though that mode is temporarily unavailable on Xbox Series S due to performance limits. New lore chapters for Cyclops, Daredevil, and The Punisher go live alongside the patch.

Store and event content unlocks at the same 09:00 UTC mark. Below are the timed activities and when they run.

Balance fixes and PC features in the patch

A few hero and map fixes ship with the downtime. Black Cat now gains only a single stack of Fortune from Cat’s Cradle even when it hits several enemies at once. Devil Dinosaur can no longer keep abnormally high movement speed after his Ultimate when interacting with Jeff The Land Shark’s bubble. Map collision problems that snagged characters on environmental geometry have also been cleaned up.

On PC, NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution goes live with new preset options. Performance Mode uses traditional CNN models for higher frame rates, while Quality Mode uses the second-generation Transformer model for sharper detail and less ghosting. GeForce RTX 50 Series cards can also use the high-multiplier mode of DLSS Multi-Frame Generation, supporting up to 6x Multi-Frame Generation on high-refresh displays.

Once the two-hour window clears, log back in to pick up Cyclops, jump into the Shenloong Arena, and start the event missions before the July 10 cutoff.
