Marvel’s Wolverine: How to Unlock the Epilogue

Finish the campaign, clear all 14 Nightmare Doors, then beat the hidden trial to trigger Logan's final memory.

Finish the campaign, clear all 14 Nightmare Doors, then beat the hidden trial to trigger Logan’s final memory.

Marvel’s Wolverine hides a final story beat behind its Nightmare Doors. After the credits roll, a last wood carving hints that one more memory is waiting, and reaching it fills in backstory the main campaign leaves open. Getting there takes a little cleanup rather than any secret input.

Quick answer: Beat the story, complete all 14 Nightmare Doors with at least a bronze rating, then clear the hidden “Best There Is” trial in the Nightmare Cabin and follow the scent trail to play the epilogue.

What you need before the epilogue unlocks

The epilogue is gated behind two things: finishing the main campaign and clearing every Nightmare Trial in the game. Nightmare Doors are the optional challenge rooms scattered through the chapters, marked by purple tree roots near their locations. Each one you complete unlocks a piece of Logan’s past, shown as a wood carving in the Nightmare Cabin.

  • Complete the main story (all 30 missions across nine chapters).
  • Find and finish all 14 Nightmare Doors in the campaign.
  • Earn at least a bronze rating in each Nightmare Trial.

If you missed any doors during your first run, you can replay finished missions from the bed inside the Nightmare Cabin, so nothing is permanently lost. Collectibles you grab in replays carry over.

Clear the hidden “Best There Is” trial

Finishing the campaign drops you into the Nightmare Cabin. Once all 14 doors are done and each carries a bronze rating, a fifteenth trial appears that was locked before. It sits as the bottom-right entry among the trials and is called Best There Is.

Select the Best There Is trial from the Nightmare Cabin. You only need a bronze rating to clear it, so there is no pressure to chase a fast time.
If you are short on skills, replay earlier trials or missions from the cabin first to level up, then come back and finish Best There Is.

Trigger the final memory in the Nightmare Cabin

Completing Best There Is opens the Nightmare Cabin door and makes the last carving available. From here the epilogue is one short interaction away.

Go to the shelf near the door where all the wooden carvings are displayed. Highlight the bird-shaped carving on the right side of the shelf.
With the cabin now open, head outside and follow the scent trail. This begins the hidden memory that plays as the game’s epilogue.

How to confirm the epilogue unlocked

The scene plays automatically once you start the memory, filling in missing pieces of the story and giving key characters more backstory. Completing it also awards the Repressed Memories trophy, so if that pops on screen, you have seen the full epilogue and nothing is left to unlock.
