Marvel’s Wolverine: How to Unlock the Recycled Trophy in Raise Some Hell

The bronze trophy needs one Reaver kicked into the refinery’s molten vat, and it stays available through Mission Replay.

Recycled is a bronze trophy in Marvel’s Wolverine that asks for a very specific kill. A normal defeat near the vat will not register it, and neither will kicking a standard Trask guard into the metal. The game wants a Reaver, and it wants the molten vat to be what finishes the job.

Quick answer: During Raise Some Hell in Canada, get a Reaver next to the open vat of molten metal in the refinery and hold Square to kick him in.

Two details decide whether the trophy fires. The enemy has to be a Reaver rather than any body in the room, and the molten metal has to be the cause of death rather than scenery behind a regular kill. Reavers carrying blue blades or shields are the easiest targets to identify mid-fight, so mark one early and work the encounter around him.

Where the molten vat is in Raise Some Hell

The setup sits inside the Canadian refinery while Logan is tracking the captured mutants. Follow the main path until the objective points you through a floor grate, then crawl the ventilation shaft and drop out onto the catwalk over the facility. Past a short stretch of corridor and a set of metal stairs, you reach a circular platform built around a large open vat of glowing molten metal, and that platform is the only place the trophy can happen.

There is a stealth opportunity on the way down, near the crates marked OSMIUM, but none of it matters for the trophy. Nothing before the vat room counts, so there is no reason to hunt for molten metal earlier in the level.

How to kick a Reaver into the molten metal

Push through the vent and the corridor until you climb the metal stairs into the smelting area. Trask security will spot you and call in reinforcements, which is fine. You want the fight to start here rather than somewhere quieter.

Pick out your target before you commit to anything. Look for a Reaver with blue blades or a shield and keep him off your list of priority kills while you deal with everyone else loosely.
Drag the fight toward the open vat at the back of the platform. Move around the Reaver so the molten metal ends up behind him rather than off to one side, since the kick sends enemies straight away from you.

Hold Square for the charged kick and watch the Reaver go over the rim into the metal. The trophy notification appears once he lands in the vat.

Do not burn your heavy attacks on the Reaver you have chosen. Killing every suitable enemy with claw damage before you have one lined up beside the vat is the most common way this goes wrong.

How to confirm the trophy unlocked

You are looking for the PlayStation trophy notification for Recycled, which pops as the Reaver disappears into the molten metal. Contextual trophies like this one wait for the defeat animation to finish, so give it a beat before assuming it failed.

If the enemy clips the rim of the vat and survives, nothing unlocks. Reset your position, pick another Reaver with blue blades or a shield, and line up the kick again. The vat has to be the finishing blow, not part of a knockdown that happens to occur near it.

Cleaning up Recycled after the campaign

Recycled is not permanently missable. If you cleared the refinery without thinking about it, head to the Nightmare Cabin in the post-game, use the bed, and select Raise Some Hell (Canada) from Mission Replay. You will be dropped back into the chapter and can run straight for the vat room without worrying about collectibles you already have.

If the Reaver dies too early during the replay, reloading the checkpoint is faster than restarting the mission. Either way, this is a short detour rather than a reason to start a new save, and once the notification lands you can head back to the cabin and move on to whatever else is left on the list.
