Monopoly on Roblox is GroovyII’s digital version of the classic board game, rebuilt as a full experience with a few house-rule tweaks rather than a strict copy of the original rulebook. It has grown into one of the platform’s more heavily played board-game titles, with about 24,000,000 total visits and about 120,000 favorites so far, and roughly about 6,800 players in active games as of September 13.

Card Draft update
The Card Draft update was Monopoly’s headline change in early September 2026. Its standout feature is a new Card Draft modifier: when it’s turned on, every player can buy from a random selection of properties at the start of a match, which reshapes the usual opening and rewards a bit of early planning.
The same update added a rejoin option — if you drop out of a match you can reconnect within roughly three minutes, up to twice per game, though you can still lose while you’re offline if only one other player is left. GroovyII also introduced lobby profiles, so you can double-tap another player to view their profile, invite them, or jump into their lobby. The full patch notes are available in the game’s lobby.
The update was promoted as a new-content event that ran from the evening of September 6 into the early hours of September 8, 2026 (ET), drawing interest from more than 160 players.
