Moonlight Peaks: How to Befriend and Romance Ridge

The town carpenter builds your farm upgrades, loves a cold beer, and can be dated once you reach four hearts.

The town carpenter builds your farm upgrades, loves a cold beer, and can be dated once you reach four hearts.

Ridge is the carpenter of Moonlight Peaks, and he is the person you go to whenever you want a new building or an upgrade on your farm. He also happens to be one of the first faces you meet when you arrive in town, alongside Orlock and Brook, and he is fully romanceable if the beard and the easygoing charm win you over.

Quick answer: Ridge runs the carpentry shop and handles farm buildings and upgrades. Bring him beer or one of the gifts he loves, catch him at the Howling Hammer between 6pm and 12am Monday to Friday, and once you hit four hearts you can start asking him on dates.

Ridge’s role as the town carpenter

Ridge belongs to the Logan family. He is Ludo’s father, Saga’s uncle, and Brook’s younger brother, which makes him one of the werewolf residents of Moonlight Peaks. His job is the reason you will keep coming back to him.

As the resident carpenter, Ridge builds and upgrades the structures your farm needs. Your first real transaction with him is buying a barn, which he constructs in exchange for money and materials. Once the barn is finished, you can start buying animals from Luna. Later on he handles house upgrades, fixes your roof, and even puts together the altar for your wedding.

He is a genuinely helpful character who is happy to lend a hand, so building up a friendship with him pays off in practical terms long before romance enters the picture.

Best gifts for Ridge

Gift-giving is the quickest way to raise your bond with Ridge. He is fond of beer above almost anything else, and freshly squeezed juice and picked wildflowers also go over well. The one thing to avoid is handing him ore or metal bars. Despite being a carpenter, he does not want raw mining materials as presents.

Ridge’s birthday

Ridge’s birthday falls on Autumn 18. Mark it on your calendar and hand him something from his loved list that day for a bigger boost to your relationship than a normal gift would give.

Where to find Ridge

Ridge spends his working hours at the Howling Hammer, his carpentry shop, from 6pm to 12am on weekdays. When he is not behind the counter, he tends to be relaxing with a drink at The Broken Lamp, the local tavern. If you are unsure where he is on a given night, his icon on the overworld map tells you his current location.

His routine shifts around a bit depending on the day and the weather. On weekends he often starts the night at home before heading out, and during a full moon he joins the other werewolves out in the Marshes to howl. Rainy nights usually push him toward the wine bar.

Romancing and marrying Ridge

Ridge is open to love, so pursuing him is straightforward. Talk to him regularly, help him out, and keep the gifts coming to raise your hearts with him.

Build your friendship to four hearts. At that point you can begin asking Ridge on dates, which opens up his romantic Heart Events.
Continue dating until you reach eight hearts, then propose. All of the vampires and werewolves in town turn up for the ceremony, and Ridge builds the altar himself.
After the wedding, Ridge moves onto your farm. You cannot have children of your own, but marrying Ridge gives you a stepson in Ludo.

Note: You can leave him waiting at the altar if you change your mind, and the reactions are played for laughs, but it is a cold move for a man who spends the whole game helping you.
