Abbey Entrance is one of 49 beacons in Mortal Shell 2, tucked into the Ruins of Mammon near the traversal gate south of the Abbey. Rest at it and you top up Health and Resolve. Cleanse it and you drop into the Kingdom of Fools, a short dungeon that ends with a boss and an Ovum.
Quick answer: Fast travel to the Outskirts of Mammon beacon, cross the Bone Gate and follow the ruins southeast to reach Abbey Entrance, then choose Cleanse Beacon, grab the Strange Village Key in the Kingdom of Fools, unlock the wooden gate, kill Bor, the Deluded Monarch, and cleanse the Ovum at the edge of his arena.
Route to the Abbey Entrance beacon from Outskirts of Mammon
Outskirts of Mammon is already cleansed when you find it, so it is the default drop point for the whole region. Use it as your starting line.

Every beacon you cleanse counts toward the So Fresh, So Clean achievement, and all Ova in the game come from cleansed beacons, which feeds the Bring My Ova Back to Me achievement as well. Clearing the Kingdom of Fools pays out the following.
| Reward | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| 1,000 Coins | Chest in the first room, before the lift |
| Ventrium x2 | Skeleton and containers in the village |
| Glimpse x1 | Dungeon clear |
| Gloom | Bor, the Deluded Monarch |
| Monarch’s Vestige (Tarstone) | Bor, the Deluded Monarch |
| Ova x1 | Corrupt core at the edge of the boss arena |
Note: cleansing also strips the corrupted growth off the beacon itself, which clears obstructions that block nearby loot and unlocks the full beacon menu.
Kingdom of Fools: Finding the Strange Village Key
Interact with the beacon and pick Cleanse Beacon to enter. The dungeon is compact, but the exit is locked behind a key that hangs in the far corner of the village.

Beating Bor, the Deluded Monarch
The drop lands you straight in the boss arena, a cave with no run-up and no second beacon, so heal before you jump. Bor is a large, slow-swinging opponent, and the fight is a straight duel rather than a mob encounter.

Killing him hands over the Monarch’s Vestige Tarstone along with a Glimpse and some Gloom. A few stragglers may still be roaming the cave afterward, so sweep the arena before you go looking for the core.
Cleansing the core and confirming it worked
The corrupt core sits at the edge of the boss arena once Bor is down. Interact with it to cleanse it and collect the Ovum. You will see the BEACON CLEANSED message, which is the only confirmation you need.
Back in the overworld, the beacon loses its dark overgrowth and the menu expands. Alongside resting, you get Level Up, Change Shell and Sub-Items, Change Shades, Change Masks, Change Mortal Clothing, Mether’s Pulse, Mether’s Breath for fast travel, and Return to Marrow Keep. Abbey Entrance also now shows up as a fast travel destination from any other beacon.
Why the cleanse might not complete
- The wooden gate stays shut without the Strange Village Key. It only drops after you destroy the hanging pod at the end of the path behind the village.
- The corrupt core cannot be interacted with until Bor is dead. Leaving the dungeon early resets your progress through it.
- Resting at the beacon respawns every regular enemy in the area, including the village mobs, so re-entering means clearing the route again.
None of this is missable. If you push past Mammon without touching Abbey Entrance, you can come back for it in free roam after the final boss, before you decide to start New Game+.
