The Sanguine Shoreline beacon sits inside the Sanguine Caverns and opens into a short dungeon called Hermit’s Pass. Cleansing it means fighting through a pack of spider-like enemies, collecting a Revered Gland along the way, and picking up the Sanguine Shoreline Ovum at the far end.
Quick answer: Interact with the beacon, choose Cleanse Beacon, clear every spider in Hermit’s Pass, then collect the Sanguine Shoreline Ovum from the tree structure to complete the cleanse.
Where to find the Sanguine Shoreline beacon
The beacon is tucked inside the large cave past the two bridges in the Sanguine Caverns area. From the clearing, take the left bridge into the cave and follow the path until you reach the beacon. It needs to be revitalized before it will show its full menu, and cleansing it is what removes the corruption and awards the Ovum.
Like every corrupted beacon, you can rest here to restore Health and Resolve and update your respawn point even before cleansing. The cleanse itself is what sends you into Hermit’s Pass.

Note: The tree only becomes interactable once every spider in the lower area is dead. If the prompt still refuses to appear, check for a straggler you missed before heading back.
Rewards for cleansing the beacon
Every cleansed beacon guarantees Ova and at least one Glimpse. The Sanguine Shoreline run adds a Revered Gland from the altar and drops Gloom as you clear the spiders.
| Reward | How you get it |
|---|---|
| Sanguine Shoreline Ovum | Collected from the tree structure after all spiders are dead |
| Glimpse | Guaranteed for completing the cleanse |
| Revered Gland | Looted from the altar on the left inside Hermit’s Pass |
| Gloom | Dropped while defeating the spider-like enemies |
How to confirm the beacon is cleansed
Once you pick up the Ovum, the beacon registers as cleansed. In the world, the black corruption tendrils that wrapped the beacon disappear, and its icon on the map switches to the cleansed version, making it easy to tell apart from beacons you still need to clear.
After cleansing, resting at the beacon still restores Health and Resolve, respawns standard enemies, and updates your respawn point. The main practical payoff is the Ovum you carry back to Marrow Keep, along with the Revered Gland you can spend on Mether’s Pulse upgrades.
