In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Hunter appears as order 01 within DMZ ORDERS PG 2. It belongs to chapter CH. HUMAN INTEL 1/2. The order has two objectives, both carried out at the same structure: a Lieutenant Hunt tower.

Quick answer: Climb a Lieutenant Hunt tower (a lattice radio mast with a skull icon), then use the terminal at the top at the LOCATE LIEUTENANT prompt. Hunter completes when the download finishes.

Hunter order objectives in DMZ

Both objectives tick off in order during one tower visit:

  • “Locate and Climb a Hunt Lieutenant Tower”
  • “Use the Terminal at the Top to Locate the Nearest Lieutenant”

Two other orders share the same page, Triage Protocol (02) and No One Left (03). You can work on them in the same deployment.

How to climb the Lieutenant Hunt tower and use the terminal

A skull icon identifies Lieutenant Hunt towers on the tac map and compass. When a squadmate pings one, the squad feed calls it “Lieutenant Hunt”. The instructions below use the tower atop the hill beside Wolves Stadium, in the southern part of the map. Its threat level is MEDIUM.

Follow the dirt path uphill toward the fenced tower. Nearing it triggers the side op “Climb the Lieutenant Hunt Tower”; a “CLIMB THE LIEUTENANT HUNT TOWER” banner appears above the mast.

Climb the yellow ladder inside the lattice to the upper platform. The objective “Locate and Climb a Hunt Lieutenant Tower” completes when you step onto it.
Find the radio terminal on the platform. It has a laptop sitting on top. The side op now reads “Download Intel To Locate Lieutenant”.
Interact with the terminal at the LOCATE LIEUTENANT prompt and wait for the download to finish.

When the download ends, “Use the Terminal at the Top to Locate the Nearest Lieutenant” ticks and Hunter is complete. A new side op, “Reach the Lieutenant’s Location”, appears. Open the tac map and you will find a LIEUTENANT HUNT marker over the Lieutenant’s area. The terminal points to the nearest Lieutenant, so which one you get depends on the tower you climbed. From the Wolves Stadium tower, the marker lands on Cheonwang Peak Array, a short drive north-west.

Lieutenant Iskra at Cheonwang Peak Array (optional kill)

Hunter is complete once you use the terminal; killing the Lieutenant isn’t required. The marker from the Wolves Stadium tower leads to Iskra, though, and the drops make the detour worthwhile. Cheonwang Peak Array is a MEDIUM threat area. Iskra occupies the office building, where guards patrol the open-plan rooms and stairwells. When you reach Iskra’s floor, the banner “LIEUTENANT ISKRA – CHEONWANG PEAK ARRAY” appears and the side op changes to “Kill Iskra”.

Eliminating Iskra triggers “SIDE OP COMPLETE / KILL ISKRA” and grants 1000 XP for the kill. The side-op entry awards +500 cash. Iskra drops the following:
