The Tempered Armor Vest is an ULTRA plate carrier in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ, and you unlock it at the 3D Printer with a recipe. That recipe sits behind a locked door at Mirae General Hospital in Hajin. To reach it, you have to kill The Doctor, a Lieutenant, and take his key.
Quick answer: Kill The Doctor at Mirae General Hospital, loot his legendary key, unlock The Doctor’s Command Office on the upper floor offices, open the LT CRATE, and exfil with the recipe.
Kill The Doctor and take the Command Office key
The Doctor is the Lieutenant at Mirae General Hospital. His side op is called “Kill the Doctor”, and he fights from the grounds and the street outside the building.
Head for Mirae General Hospital. When the side op first updates nearby, it says “Reach the Lieutenant’s Location“; entering the required range changes it to “Kill the Doctor”.
Get onto the elevated outdoor terrace overlooking the hospital grounds. Use its wall for protection: lean out to fire with a scoped rifle, then duck behind it to plate up before your next shot.
Head down to his body and loot it. Along with The Doctor’s Dog Tag and his PATRIOT XMR, a Rare battle rifle, you’ll find a key called THE DOCTOR’S COMMAND OFFICE.
The key is a LEGENDARY KEY with a value of 100. Like other DMZ key cards, its description starts with a map grid square. It reads “F5 – Unlocks the converted conference room on the upper floor offices within Mirae General Hospital.”
Move the key into a secure slot right away. If you go down, you keep it. Hold on to The Doctor’s Dog Tag as well, because it pays out as a Lieutenant Dog Tag when you extract.
Unlock The Doctor’s Command Office and open the LT CRATE
Open the large LT CRATE inside the converted conference room. Take the TEMPERED ARMOR VEST card, which is labelled “3D PRINTER RECIPE | 5000” and reads “Exfil recipe to print this item at the 3D Printer.”
Place the recipe in a free secure slot if one is available. The crate also holds weapons and other gear, and the room’s lockers are worth searching before you head out.
Exfil and print the Tempered Armor Vest
The card only counts toward unlocking the recipe after you exfil; carrying it alone is not enough. You can verify it in the extraction summary, where the card appears under Recipes for 5,000 and The Doctor’s tag appears under Lieutenant Dog Tags for 25,000.
Back at the FOB, open the 3D Printer and go to PLATE CARRIERS. The TEMPERED ARMOR VEST is listed after the 1-Plate and 2-Plate Armor Vests, with the description “A heavily armored plate carrier that uses enhanced plates.” The panel offers PRINT TO OPERATOR, PRINT TO STASH, TRACK/UNTRACK RECIPE and INGREDIENT LOCATIONS.
