Jetragon is the fastest mount in Palworld, with a ride sprint speed of 3,300 that more than doubles the next-fastest flier. The catch is that it has no saddle in the Technology menu, which leaves a lot of players stuck thinking the legendary dragon can’t be ridden at all. The item you actually need is Jetragon’s Missile Launcher.
Quick answer: Reach Technology Level 50, spend 5 Technology Points on Jetragon’s Missile Launcher, then craft it at a Pal Gear Workbench using 100 Leather, 140 Paldium Fragment, 200 Refined Ingot, and 50 Circuit Board. The launcher acts as Jetragon’s saddle, so once it’s in your inventory you can ride the Pal.

Why Jetragon has no saddle
Every other rideable Pal uses gear crafted at the Pal Gear Workbench and equipped in its gear slot. Jetragon works differently. The only unlock tied to it in the Technology menu is Jetragon’s Missile Launcher, which appears at Technology Level 50 and costs 5 Technology Points. Its description says it makes Jetragon fire missiles when ridden, which is why so many players miss that it doubles as the saddle.
When you craft the launcher and add it to your inventory, it functions as both the saddle and a weapon. That single item gives you the ability to mount Jetragon and to fire its missiles while airborne. There is nothing else to unlock and no separate saddle blueprint to hunt down.

You need a captured Jetragon, Technology Level 50, and a Pal Gear Workbench to build the launcher. The workbench itself unlocks at Technology Level 2 and needs a Pal with Handiwork suitability to operate. The full material cost is heavy, so it helps to have a steady supply of refined ingots and circuit boards before you start.
| Requirement | Detail |

| Technology Level | 50 |
| Technology Points | 5 |
| Leather | 100 |

Where to catch Jetragon
Jetragon spawns at Mount Obsidian in the southwesternmost region of the map. The closest fast travel point is the Beach of Everlasting Summer. This is a legendary Pal that shows up as a high-level boss, so treat the encounter as a serious fight and bring sphere boosters to improve your capture odds.
Note: you can craft the Missile Launcher blueprint without owning Jetragon, but the item is useless until you have the Pal to equip it to. Capture Jetragon first so you can ride it the moment the launcher is finished.
Craft the Missile Launcher and start riding
You know it worked when you can climb onto Jetragon and take off. If the ride option never appears, confirm the launcher finished crafting and that Jetragon is actually in your active party rather than stored in a Palbox.

What the Missile Launcher does in flight
Jetragon’s Partner Skill, Aerial Missile, lets you rapidly fire homing missiles while mounted. Most flying Pals lock you out of your own weapons in the air, which leaves you defenseless mid-flight. Jetragon is the exception, since the launcher keeps you armed while you travel at its top speed.
| Attribute | Value |
|---|---|
| Ride sprint speed | 3,300 |
| Type | Dragon |
| Partner Skill | Aerial Missile (homing missiles while mounted) |
| Rarity | Legendary |
That speed is the reason Jetragon is worth the grind if your focus is late-game exploration. Crossing the map to catch Pals or find dungeons takes far less time than it does on Frostallion or any ground mount. If you mostly build or farm in a fixed area, a lower-tier flier will still handle the job, but nothing else in the game matches Jetragon once you have the launcher equipped.
