A crowded Palbox is easy to fix. Instead of butchering the Pals you no longer want, you can sell them for Gold and use that money on schematics, ammo, and other supplies. Palworld gives you three separate ways to offload Pals, and each one suits a different situation.
Quick answer: Talk to a Pal Merchant or a Black Marketeer, choose the sell option, pick Pals from your Party or Palbox, then confirm to receive Gold Coins. For player-to-player deals, unlock the Flea Market at Technology Level 22.
Sell Pals to a Pal Merchant
Pal Merchants are the standard vendors, and they buy as well as sell. They dress in dark blue, so don’t confuse them with the red Wandering Merchants that appear at random and won’t deal in Pals. You’ll usually find a Pal Merchant living inside a settlement.
The earliest and easiest one sits in the Small Settlement, southwest of the Rayne Syndicate Tower. Look for a shed with a Pal Sphere outside it. Activating the fast travel statue there lets you return quickly whenever you need to clear out your Palbox.
One caveat: regular Pal Merchants only buy legitimately owned Pals. They will not touch contraband, so anything you poached needs a different buyer. Be careful acting hostile inside a settlement, since it can flag you as Wanted.
Sell Pals to a Black Marketeer
Black Marketeers deal in the same currency but have no problem with stolen goods. They tend to hide away from settlements, often inside mineshafts, but also on cliffsides, beaches, and deep in forests. There are more of them scattered across the Palpagos Islands than there are Pal Merchants.
The earliest Black Marketeer is in the Abandoned Mineshaft northwest of the Small Settlement. Use the Bridge of Twin Knights fast travel point, then follow the main road until you reach the mineshaft. A beginner-friendly one also appears near the northern wall of Duneshelter.
The selling process is identical to a Pal Merchant. Interact, choose sell, pick your Pals, and confirm. The difference is what they accept. Black Marketeers will buy Pals you took from a Wildlife Sanctuary and even humans you captured in Pal Spheres, including Syndicate Thugs.
For high-end Pals, the Black Marketeer is often the better payday. If your Pal is a Legendary or an Alpha, you tend to earn more Gold selling it here than to a standard merchant.
Tip: You can capture a Pal Merchant or Black Marketeer and bring them back to base. It’s an unethical shortcut, but it gives you instant access to a buyer without hunting one down again. Note that Black Marketeers are level 40 or 50, so come prepared.
Trade Pals with other players at the Flea Market
The Flea Market is for player-to-player sales only. You set up a trading shop, list one of your Pals, assign a price, and another player on the server buys it. Because the economy is player-driven, you aren’t locked to Gold and can accept almost anything in the game as payment.
You unlock the Flea Market (Pal) from the Technology menu once you reach Level 22. Legendary Pals hold strong value here thanks to their guaranteed “Legend” passive, though you’ll usually need to negotiate the exact price and currency with the buyer.
You can also trade Pals privately with a friend. Join the same guild, then exchange Pals directly at their Palbox.
What affects a Pal’s sale price
Two Pals of the same species won’t always sell for the same amount. Level, stats, abilities, and rarity all feed into the final value. Rarer and higher-level Pals command far more Gold, while common ones stay cheap. If you want to maximize profit, hang onto Alphas and Legendaries for a Black Marketeer.

Confirming the sale went through
You know a sale worked when the confirmation box closes and your Gold total rises by the listed amount. The sold Pal disappears from your Party or Palbox immediately. If a Pal isn’t showing up in the sell menu, make sure it isn’t contraband when dealing with a regular Pal Merchant, since those vendors reject stolen Pals and captured humans.
Selling is the cleanest way to thin out a full Palbox while banking Gold for weapons, schematics, and gear. Keep your strongest Alphas and Legendaries for the Black Marketeer or the Flea Market, and let the rest fund your next expedition.
