The Technology skill in Paralives is a Knowledge skill that covers your Para's grasp of technical subjects, and it sits above two practical abilities: Programming and Graphic Design. Raising it makes those two sub-skills climb faster and helps qualify your Para for tech roles such as a Gameplay Programmer or other software jobs.
How to increase the Technology skill in Paralives
There are two direct methods to train Technology, plus two indirect ones. The computer is the main hub for the skill, since the same object lets you study the Knowledge skill and practice the abilities underneath it.
Step 1: Click a computer and select "Learn About," then pick "Technology." This is the fastest steady way to push the Technology Knowledge skill itself.
Step 2: For reading, click a bookshelf, choose "Read Book," and select "Technology Book." This builds the same Technology skill bar away from the desk.
Step 3: To train the abilities under it, click a computer, choose "Practice," and pick either "Programming" or "Graphic Design." Practicing these still feeds a little Technology XP back upward, though more slowly than studying Technology head-on.

Every skill currently tops out at level 20 during early access. Not every level unlocks something new yet, and the developers have left the door open to higher caps in future updates, but 20 is the present ceiling.
Level Technology faster
Speed is mostly a function of your Para's state while they study. A happy Para, or one with a Talent tied to technical work picked in the Paramaker, learns faster. A Para who is tired, hungry, or angry learns much slower, and unmet needs can stall progress entirely.
The progress bar shows your current rate through the number of white arrows it displays, so if the arrows are sparse, take care of needs before continuing. Because Technology raises Programming and Graphic Design learning rates, building the Knowledge skill first is the efficient route before grinding either ability for a career.
