Pearl and Aventurine Waveflair Elation Team for Anomaly Arbitration

How the follow-up attack core built around Pearl, Aventurine Waveflair, and Yao Guang clears both Cocolia and Lighthouse phases.

How the follow-up attack core built around Pearl, Aventurine Waveflair, and Yao Guang clears both Cocolia and Lighthouse phases.

An Elation team built around Pearl and Aventurine Waveflair clears Anomaly Arbitration by stacking high-frequency follow-up attacks. The core relies on constant ally actions to charge Aventurine Waveflair’s damage while Pearl keeps the team alive and speeds up the Elation loop. Two run setups handle the Lighthouse and Cocolia stages, both leaning on coordinated ultimates and bounce damage.

Quick answer: Run Aventurine Waveflair as the carry with Yao Guang as the Elation enabler and Pearl as sustain. Trigger technique openers, chain ally attacks to feed Fervor and Punchline, then release Aventurine Waveflair’s Enhanced Elation Skill during boss phases to clear Cocolia and Lighthouse.

The core Elation team and how it works

The team centers on Aventurine Waveflair, a Quantum Elation sub-DPS whose damage scales with how often the whole party acts. Every time an ally attacks, he gains 1 Punchline and 1 Fervor. When Fervor reaches 10 stacks, he immediately fires his Elation Skill, and the next Aha Instant upgrades it into the Enhanced version that consumes all stored Fervor for extra bounce damage.

Yao Guang is the non-negotiable enabler here. She is treated as a must-have for Elation teams because she accelerates party-wide resource generation. Pearl fills the sustain slot as a 5-star Ice healer on the Path of Elation, providing shields and healing while also feeding into the Elation mechanics the team depends on.

Aventurine Waveflair’s Fervor and Punchline loop

Understanding the resource cycle is the key to clearing damage checks. His Skill deals a 240% multiplier true AoE hit and grants 2 Punchline plus 4 Fervor. His Ultimate deals 400% ATK AoE damage, refunds 5 Punchline and 8 Fervor, and buffs his own SPD. His technique opens the fight with an AoE strike plus starting Fervor and Certified Banger stacks.

The normal Elation Skill hits for 60% Quantum Elation AoE damage, then bounces 10 times to random enemies. The Enhanced Elation Skill does the same base, but adds an extra bounce for every point of Fervor consumed, up to his maximum of 30 stacks. This is why frequent ally attacks matter, more actions mean more Fervor stored for a larger enhanced burst.

Tip: Aim for a SPD threshold of 160 to activate his conversion trace, which grants a baseline Elation DMG bonus and scales further with every point of SPD past that mark.

First run: Clearing Lighthouse and Cocolia

Enter the first phase with Mortenax Blade, Aventurine Waveflair, Yao Guang, and Pearl. Use techniques on entry to seed starting Fervor and Certified Banger before the first enemy turn.
Fight Lighthouse and its supporting enemies by chaining ally attacks. Every action feeds Aventurine Waveflair’s Fervor toward the 10-stack trigger for his automatic Elation Skill.
Move into the second phase against Cocolia. Line up ultimates and follow-up attacks so the Enhanced Elation Skill lands with a full Fervor pool for maximum bounce damage.

Second run: Pearl-led follow-up variant

Swap into a lineup of Pearl, Yao Guang, Trailblazer, and Aventurine Waveflair for the second Lighthouse run. Trailblazer adds another frequent attacker to keep Fervor and Punchline climbing.

Clear the first phase against Lighthouse the same way, prioritizing coordinated attacks over single big hits so Aventurine Waveflair keeps triggering his Elation Skill on cooldown.
Defeat Cocolia in the second phase using coordinated follow-up attacks. Time the Enhanced Elation Skill for the boss phase to convert stored Fervor into the largest possible bounce spread.

Builds and gear for the carry

Aventurine Waveflair wants Elation equipment because his damage runs through Elation DMG in both team archetypes. His signature Light Cone is the top pick, offering Crit Rate, SPD, Elation DMG, and Skill Point recovery. The Elation Battle Pass Light Cone and the free Mushy Shroomy’s Adventures are lower-cost alternatives.

For Pearl, keep gear flexible until her final scaling is confirmed. SPD boots and an Energy Regeneration rope are the safest early pieces, with HP% and DEF% main stats held in reserve. Her signature Light Cone, Colors for Tomorrow, grants a DEF bonus, team healing, and an enemy vulnerability that scales with your Elation count. Mushy Shroomy’s Adventures works as a free fallback that raises Elation DMG taken by enemies.

Why this team suits Anomaly Arbitration

Anomaly Arbitration is a permanent mode that asks you to build three separate Knight teams and then a strongest squad for the King in Check final stage. Several stages reward follow-up attack pressure, which is exactly what this Elation core delivers. Knight 2 in the Happiness Syntax phase, for example, weakens its damage-reduction stacks whenever an enemy takes a Follow-Up ATK.

Clearing all three Knight stages before the King significantly reduces the final boss’s difficulty. Rewards across the mode include Lone Stardust, Self-Modeling Resin, Interference Keys, and limited-time avatar frames. Note that Anomaly Arbitration does not hand out Stellar Jades, so treat it as a materials and cosmetics run rather than a currency farm.

The mode resets every six weeks on a Wednesday after version maintenance, with a fresh phase arriving when Version 4.6 goes live. Pearl herself headlines Version 4.6 Phase 1 as the fourth Stoneheart to become playable, so building this follow-up core now sets you up to slot her in directly once her banner opens.
