How to start Kin Against Kin
In a Pangzhen farmyard, find the first Memory Flower: Bitter Kin petal roughly 48 m from the Ancestral Shrine Square bell. Haven’t located the bell? See the bell locations. Interact with the petal to watch the memory and begin the tale.
The map below marks the first petal in Pangzhen.
The petal card shows the memory “I. BETRAYAL” along with the line “(1/2) Collect all Memory Remnants to increase HP +5%”. In the memory, the farmer refuses to give his younger brother any money. The brother says a fortune teller paired him with Xiu, and he needs the money to pay for the wedding.
The memory card reads:
“Why should those of one flesh turn against each other? One misguided thought, and madness follows.”
Once the tale is active, its objective is “Uncover the whereabouts of the farmer’s younger brother”.
Where to find the farmer’s younger brother
The younger brother is now a single Blackwater Diver, an enemy from the Blackwater Crew who wears a fish-head diving helmet. He patrols alone at Meigu Lake, about 80 m from the Meigu Village East Dock bell and at the same height as the bell. The Meigu Lake collectibles cover the rest of that area.
Kill him to move the tale forward.
Finish the Bitter Kin memory flower
Find the other petal roughly 25 m from the diver’s patrol route. It remains inactive until he is dead; afterward, touch it to complete Kin Against Kin.
This also completes the memory at 2 of 2, which counts toward the +5% HP bonus from collecting all Memory Remnants. Other petals are listed with the memory flowers.
