Quick answer: Sail to the Weeping Mistgate wharf, ring its bell, walk along the plank path to the river mist, and press E to play the pipa.
In Phantom Blade Zero, the quest objective reads “Play the pipa at the Spectral Gate north of Meigu Lake”. The Spectral Gate is a wall of river mist past the Weeping Mistgate wharf. Playing the pipa there carries Soul across to the mountain.
Before you go
The restored Illusory Pipa from Myst must be in your possession to trigger the Spectral Gate prompt; there’s no need to equip it.
The route starts on the water, so you also need the Sha-Chi boat.

What happens after you play the pipa
Soul arrives on the mountain side, at shrines lit with red candles. Crows circle above a dead tree. The Lady’s Path bell stands next to this landing.
The cutscene ends on a HOLD F prompt, and the game waits there until you respond. Tapping F does nothing. Hold it for about 3 seconds to continue.
Walk on from the landing toward the shrines. A second hold-F prompt appears next to a woman kneeling in prayer. This one takes about 5 seconds of holding.
You’ll know the crossing worked when the PILLARS OF KUNLUN quest banner appears. The new objective reads “Find Huangxing at the summit”.
