Memory Flower: The Search contains two petals connected to Wei Sanchuan’s narrative during the Pillars of Kunlun quest. Both are collectible in one outing, without leaving the area covered by one bell in Pangzhen.
At Pangzhen, the bell named Well of Wei Sanchuan covers both finds.
Petal I: A Lover’s Call
Start at the Well of Wei Sanchuan bell in Pangzhen and head into the cave. You’ll squeeze through a cluttered stretch about 13 m long, then step down off the ledge top into an underground jar cellar. Petal II also grows down here, so you can pick it up on the way.
Pass the jar racks toward the cellar’s far side. Near there, a weak half-body puppet stirs; a handful of strikes is enough to defeat it. At the far end of the cellar, you’ll find a deep shaft and a long ladder. Use the ladder to descend. Going over the edge instead sends you down about 18 m and costs roughly three quarters of your health.
Once down the ladder, take the low passage to its endpoint. There, broken planks project over the rim of a second shaft. Drop in; the fall is around 8 m and causes no damage. This route is one-way, so returning up it isn’t possible.
Beside a fallen figure dressed in white robes, the flower shines amid a petal-covered floor. Press E to collect it. The resulting card displays “MEMORY FLOWER: THE SEARCH” and “I. A LOVER’S CALL”, both petal symbols illuminated, and +5%. The card confirms the pickup.
The memory belongs to Gu Wanyue, who says “I heard his voice from the darkness below… he’s cold and lonely, nowhere to go.” and “To save Sanchuan from the well he lies, if we can’t live together… then together we die.”
Petal II: Together
Petal II, Together, grows on the floor of the jar cellar below the Well of Wei Sanchuan bell in Pangzhen’s backstreet. Look about 2 m from the Mandate Encampment Outer Gate Key. Pick it up, and the card reads “MEMORY FLOWER: THE SEARCH” and “II. TOGETHER”, along with “(1/2) Collect all Memory Remnants to increase HP” and “+5%”. In the memory, Wei Sanchuan remembers that the lake in Pangzhen was Wanyue’s favourite place, and that the two of them meant to see it together.
Reward for both petals
Once you have both petals of The Search, your maximum HP goes up by 5%. You can collect them in either order. Petal II is on the way to petal I, though, so the easiest route is to take it from the cellar floor before you head down the shaft.
