The Crimson Eye event puts Blood Moon weather on a pool of Phasmophobia maps from October 8 through November 1, 2026, and every eligible contract you finish feeds a running point total. Those points unlock cosmetics, ID cards, and a trophy that upgrades across tiers. You do not need a special loadout or a trick build to make progress, because the same actions you already perform on a normal investigation award points as long as the contract qualifies.
Quick answer: Play contracts on maps showing the red Blood Moon icon, keep the difficulty multiplier at 1x or higher, then correctly identify the ghost (10 points plus 1 per multiplier), finish optional objectives (3 each), and touch totems (2 each).

Where Crimson Eye points come from
Points are only awarded on contracts running Blood Moon weather. Three actions pay out, and they stack within the same investigation, so a single clean run can combine all of them.
| Action | Points earned |
|---|---|
| Correctly identify the ghost | 10 + 1 per difficulty multiplier |
| Complete an optional objective | 3 |
| Interact with a totem | 2 |
The difficulty multiplier changes only the ghost-identification reward. A correct call on a 4x multiplier gives 10 base points plus 4, for a total of 14; the same call on an 8x contract gives 18. Optional objectives and totems always pay their flat values regardless of difficulty.
Contracts set below a 1x difficulty multiplier award zero event points. Dropping the difficulty to make an investigation easier removes your progress entirely, so keep the multiplier at 1x or above before you start.

Add to Google Preferences →The eight Blood Moon maps and the daily rotation
Eight locations can carry Blood Moon weather during the event, but only four are guaranteed each day. The active set rotates, so the lobby contract board is the only reliable way to know where you can earn points on any given day. Eligible maps show a small red circle next to their photo.
- 6 Tanglewood Drive
- 42 Edgefield Road
- Grafton Farmhouse
- 13 Willow Street
- Bleasdale Farmhouse
- Point Hope (standard version only)
- Camp Woodwind
- Nell’s Diner
Point Hope Restricted does not take part, so only the regular Point Hope contract counts. Blood Moon weather also changes how a run plays out: ghosts move 15% faster during hunts, and passive sanity drain is doubled. Turn lights on quickly and keep your sanity in check, or you will trigger hunts far earlier than usual.

Finding and using totems
Glowing red Blood Moon totems spawn around every event map in fixed spots, standing out from the ordinary furniture. Walk up to one and use the interaction prompt to claim it; each confirmed interaction adds 2 points at the end of the contract. Sweep for them while you gather evidence rather than making separate trips, and never chase a totem into a hunt. A correct ghost identification is worth far more than the 2 points a totem gives.
Rewards and the point thresholds to reach them
The event tracks two separate progress bars. Community goals pool every player’s contribution, while personal goals depend only on the points you earn yourself. Both run at the same time, so continuing to play after your own goals are done still pushes the shared total.
Community rewards
- The community event’s first target is the Beholder ID Card.
- The community’s second goal awards the Crimson Eye 2026 Charm alongside the Animated Beholder ID Card.
You never claim these by hand. Once the player base clears a community goal, the reward lands in your inventory automatically the next time you log in during the event window.
Personal rewards
Five personal goals unlock in order. The figures below are the extra points each stage needs on top of the one before it, so the full set is a cumulative 3,500 points.
| Goal | Reward | Points added | Running total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Crimson Eye Cosmetics | 200 | 200 |
| 2 | Crimson Eye Trophy | 100 | 300 |
| 3 | Trophy Upgrade I | 700 | 1,000 |
| 4 | Trophy Upgrade II | 1,000 | 2,000 |
| 5 | Trophy Upgrade III | 1,500 | 3,500 |
The first two rewards arrive after just 300 points, so the cosmetics and the base trophy come quickly. The three trophy upgrades carry the weight of the grind. If you already own the Crimson Eye trophy from a past year, your points upgrade that existing trophy instead of granting a duplicate.

The most efficient way to reach 3,500 points
Points persist across contracts, so steady short runs beat long, risky ones. Correct identification is the single largest payout, which means your rate depends mostly on how fast you can confirm the ghost and finish.

Playing solo or in a small group with clear roles reduces duplicated searching. One player can chase evidence while others handle objectives and totems, so the whole team banks points on the same run.
Confirming your progress
The Event Board in the lobby shows both the community gauge and your personal gauge, and both fill as you complete eligible investigations. A personal reward unlocks the moment your total crosses its threshold, and community rewards appear in your inventory automatically on your next login after the shared goal is met. The community side tends to clear within the first few days, but personal progress has no rush beyond the November 1 cutoff, since any reward you unlock and claim before then stays yours permanently.
