Pokémon Go Go Fest 2026: Mega Finale Habitat Hour and Raid Schedule

Every rotating habitat window, wild spawn, and Mega Raid boss across both days of the Mega Finale weekend.

Every rotating habitat window, wild spawn, and Mega Raid boss across both days of the Mega Finale weekend.

The Mega Finale weekend closes out Pokémon Go Fest 2026 with eight rotating habitats, a wall of Mega Raids, and Super Mega Raids headlined by Mega Mewtwo. Each habitat swaps the wild spawns and the available Mega Evolutions, so timing your play around the schedule decides which shinies you can chase and which Megas you can add to your roster.

Quick answer: The event runs 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time on Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6, 2026. Four habitats rotate each day and each one appears twice, so every habitat is live for two hours total.

Mega Finale habitat hour schedule (local time)

The schedule follows your local time, so the order is the same wherever you are. Saturday always opens with Verdant Overgrowth, and Sunday always opens with Iron Frostworks. Each of the four daily habitats runs for one hour, then repeats four hours later.

Mewtwo raids on both days

Two Mewtwo forms run all day regardless of the active habitat. Armored Mewtwo returns to five-star raids on both Saturday and Sunday, its first appearance in Pokémon Go since 2020. Its shiny form is not available during this event.

Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y headline Super Mega Raids at certain Gyms. Mega Mewtwo X appears on Saturday, and Mega Mewtwo Y appears on Sunday. Beating either awards a Mewtwo that can carry a special background.

Weekend bonuses to plan around

Two event-wide bonuses run from Saturday through Sunday and shape how you raid. There is no limit on Remote Raids across both days, so you can hop between Gyms hosting different habitat bosses without burning through your own local spawns. Every Mega-Evolved Pokémon also gets an extra CP boost for the weekend.

Pokémon caught from Mega Raids during the event may carry a Mega Evolution-themed Special Background, and when that Pokémon Mega Evolves, the background gains an added effect. Trainers on GO Pass Deluxe: Mega Finale also earn bonus Candy, Candy XL, and XP from Mega Raids plus a higher shiny chance from certain Mega Raids and event encounters.

Note: Seasonal activities are paused for the finale window. Daily Discoveries, seasonal Mega Raids, five-star raids, Shadow Raids, Raid Hours, and Spotlight Hours will not run, with Mega Finale raids taking their place.

The most efficient approach is to decide before 10:00 a.m. which Megas you want most, then chain their habitat windows. Since every habitat repeats once, missing a boss at its first appearance still leaves a second two-hour chance later the same day.
