The scrap heap at the Dumping Ground in Probably Stolen

The 3D Printer in Probably Stolen: Cyberpunk Shopkeeper Sim uses a chip and its listed materials to print the chip’s outputs overnight.

Quick answer: There are 15 printer chips. Each one uses 3D Printing Filament, Scrap Metal, Electronic Parts (Common), or a mix, and prints pistols, gun mods, magazines or small water bottles overnight.

Every print needs the same three things in the machine: a power source, the chip, and the chip’s materials. The printer then runs on its own overnight. The table below lists every chip with its exact in-game name, the materials it consumes per print, what it outputs, and base values in credits.

Two chips print the same Liberator 3D Printed Pistol. The .22 Pistol 3D Printer Chip makes one per night from two spools, while the 3D Printer Chip (x2 .22 Pistol) makes two from three spools and carries a higher chip value.

How to run a print on the 3D Printer

The machine’s own instruction sheet, the 3D Printer Instruction, sums up the whole process: “Insert power source, printer chip and materials. Printer will work automatically overnight if requirements are met.” The printer has a base value of 350 credits.

Insert a power source into the 3D Printer. Without one, the overnight run does not meet its requirements.
Insert the printer chip for the item you want. Only that chip’s recipe will print.
Load the exact materials that chip lists in the table above, in the listed quantities.
Let the day end. With power, chip and materials all in place, the printer works automatically overnight and the chip’s output count is ready afterward.

Installed modules change how the printer behaves, with each module stat tied to one printer function:

  • Efficiency affects Power Consumption
  • Performance affects Printer Speed Rate
  • Quality affects Print Quality On Eligible Items

3D Printer chips sorted by the materials you have

Only three materials feed the printer. 3D Printing Filament has a base value of 12 credits, Scrap Metal 10, and Electronic Parts (Common) 33. Customers also buy these materials off the shelf: a Lower Level Repairman picked up Scrap Metal and Electronic Parts (Common) on Day 2. Grouping the chips by input shows what you can print with what’s already in stock.

The Lower Level Repairman bought Scrap Metal at 12 credits each (x3), Electronic Parts (Common) for 38 credits, and Wire for 18 credits on Mark Up (Retail Markup +15%) on Day 2.

Scrap Metal only

  • 3D Printer Chip (x4 Improved Internal Springs): 2 Scrap Metal
  • 3D Printer Chip (x2 Silencer): 5 Scrap Metal
  • 3D Printer Chip (x2 10MM Magazine): 3 Scrap Metal
  • 3D Printer Chip (x1 High Cap. 10MM Mag.): 2 Scrap Metal
  • 3D Printer Chip (x1 Ext. 10MM Mag.): 3 Scrap Metal

3D Printing Filament only

  • 3D Printer Chip (x2 .22 Pistol): 3 filament
  • .22 Pistol 3D Printer Chip: 2 filament
  • 3D Printer Chip (x6 Small Plastic Bottle): 1 filament
  • 3D Printer Chip (x2 .22 Magazine): 1 filament
  • 3D Printer Chip (x2 High Cap. .22 Mag.): 2 filament
  • 3D Printer Chip (x2 Ext. .22 Mag.): 3 filament

Chips that need Electronic Parts (Common)

  • 3D Printer Chip (x4 Makeshift RDS): 1 filament, 1 Electronic Parts (Common)
  • 3D Printer Chip (x4 Toy Laser Pointer): 1 filament, 1 Electronic Parts (Common)
  • 3D Printer Chip (x2 RDS): 3 Scrap Metal, 1 Electronic Parts (Common)
  • 3D Printer Chip (x2 Laser Sight): 2 Scrap Metal, 1 Electronic Parts (Common)

The printer’s item description calls it a machine that prints using plastic, but five chips run entirely on Scrap Metal and need no filament at all.

What each 3D Printer output is

Almost everything the printer makes lands in the Gun Mods category. The Liberator 3D Printed Pistol is the one Firearms item, and Bottle of Water (Small) is the one Food and Drink item.

The Makeshift Red Dot Sight and Red Dot Sight are separate items from separate chips. The makeshift version is cheaper to print, while the full Red Dot Sight has the highest per-item base value of anything the printer makes, at 60 credits.
