Prune voice lines about other Genshin Impact characters

Prune voice lines about other Genshin Impact characters

Prune is the 4-star Anemo Catalyst user joining Genshin Impact in Version 6.6 "Luna VII," and like every playable character she comes with a set of character story voice lines that react to other named figures in Teyvat. These lines unlock as you raise her Friendship level and are voiced in English by Alice Himora.

Prune is a Hexerei witch tied to Mondstadt, Varka's Fifth Company, and the Hexenzirkel circle, so her "About" lines lean heavily into witches, Knights of Favonius members, and the children she performs for.

How Prune's character voice lines work

Every playable character in Genshin Impact has a fixed list of "About" voice lines, each one dedicated to a specific other character. They are unlocked progressively as Friendship Level rises, usually starting around Friendship 4 and continuing through Friendship 6. You can replay them from the Voice-Over tab on the character screen.

Prune's lines focus on the people she actually crosses paths with in the story: the Hexenzirkel witches, the Knights of Favonius she travels with under Varka, and the Little Witch Academia-style children she entertains during the Luna VII event in Inazuma.

Characters Prune has voice lines about

Prune's "About" roster is shaped by three groups she belongs to or works with: the Hexenzirkel (the circle of witches that includes Nicole, Alice, and Mona's mother), the Knights of Favonius Fifth Company under Grand Master Varka, and the little witches she performs magic shows for in Mondstadt and Inazuma.

About the Hexenzirkel members

As a self-styled "Witch Hunter" who is herself a witch, Prune treats the senior Hexenzirkel members with a mix of respect and mischief. Her line about Nicole leans on Nicole's role as the quiet guide of the circle, the angel who has watched ages pass. Prune frames her less as a mentor and more as someone whose calm she likes to poke at, while admitting Nicole's guidance keeps the rest of them from getting lost.

Her comments on Alice and Barbeloth play up the chaos of the older witches, while her Mona line acknowledges Mona's lineage through her mother in the circle. The Lauma line slots into her broader interest in the newer Hexerei generation introduced through Nod-Krai.

About Varka and the Fifth Company

Prune travels with Varka's expedition, and her voice line about him is the anchor of her Knights-of-Favonius set. She treats Varka as the loud, larger-than-life captain whose presence makes her stealthier witch-hunting work easier, because nobody is looking at the small girl with the bell when a Claymore-wielding giant is in the room.

Her Lohen line picks up on his role as Vice Captain of the Fifth Company. Where Varka is brute force, Lohen is the disciplined blade, and Prune's line frames the two as complementary, with her own Anemo support sitting between them. She also has a line about Jean as acting Grand Master back in Mondstadt, generally polite and slightly apologetic about the Fifth Company's tendency to cause paperwork.

About Klee, Sayu, Qiqi, and Yaoyao

During Luna VII, Prune joins Klee, Sayu, Qiqi, and Yaoyao for the "little witches" event in Inazuma, and her voice lines about them match that tone. Klee gets the warmest treatment, framed as a fellow troublemaker whose explosions Prune finds genuinely funny rather than dangerous. Sayu is described in terms of her ninja-meets-tanuki energy, with Prune teasing her about napping through magic shows.

Her Qiqi and Yaoyao lines lean gentler. Qiqi is treated as a curiosity. Prune is careful not to overwhelm, and Yaoyao is described as the responsible one of the group, the only reason the little witches' gatherings do not end in disaster.

About other Anemo and Hexerei-adjacent characters

Prune's Venti line connects to her role in Mondstadt and his status as the Anemo Archon. She is respectful of the bard without being reverent, more interested in his songs as raw material for her own performances than in his divine identity. Her Wanderer line is sharper, given his history with Hexerei figures and the Akademiya, and reads as wary curiosity rather than open hostility.

The Navia line, where present, picks up on shared off-field support territory and Navia's own Mondstadt connections through her father's history. Prune treats her as a kindred showman, someone who understands that a big entrance is half the battle.

Where to hear them in-game

Step 1: Pull Prune on the first-half Event Wish of Version 6.6, where she is the rate-up 4-star alongside Nicole and Durin. She also appears in the standard pool at low rates after the version ends.

Step 2: Raise her Friendship Level by using her in Co-Op, Domains, and overworld combat. Each new tier unlocks additional "About" lines on her character screen.

Step 3: Open Prune's character page, switch to the Voice-Over tab, and scroll to the "About" section to play each unlocked line. Lines about characters you have not yet met in the story may stay locked until those quests are completed.

Version 6.6 "Luna VII" goes live on May 20, 2026, and its first phase is where Prune's voice lines first become accessible. If a specific "About" line you are looking for is not showing up, it is almost always a Friendship gate rather than a bug, raise her affection further and check again on the next daily reset.
