The Ranger Token is a damage-focused trinket added with the Into the Abyss update for Grounded 2. It sits on a small body platform on the north side of Skunk Pond, tucked against high ground where a fallen Ominent worker can be looted. Getting to it is less about combat and more about lining up a clean drop onto the ledge.
Quick answer: Climb onto the high ground above the north side of Skunk Pond, sprint off the edge with a glider (a spider buggy adds launch speed), aim for the raised platform holding the skeleton, and rummage the Ominent worker’s corpse to take the Ranger Token.
What the Ranger Token does
The Ranger Token is a high-risk, high-reward pick. It raises your attack damage but disables perfect blocking through the Imperfect Block effect, so you lose the tight defensive timing that many Grounded 2 builds rely on. The damage bump lands in roughly the 10–20% range, which makes it strong for pure damage setups built around heavy-hitting weapons and the Frenzy mutation.
| Property | Detail |
|---|---|
| Positive effect | Increases attack damage (about 10–20%) |
| Negative effect | Imperfect Block, which prevents perfect blocks |
| Flavor text | “The power to slice and dice. If only your training focused a little more on safety.” |
| Source | Fallen Ominent worker’s corpse on the north Skunk Pond ledge |
Note: because Imperfect Block removes clean block timing entirely, this trinket only pays off if your build is designed around raw output rather than trading and parrying.

The ledge is only reachable from above, so a way to control your descent is mandatory. Everything else is about surviving the shoreline on the way in.
- A glider such as a Dandelion Tuft, or a spider buggy mount like the Web Truck for extra launch speed.
- High ground on the north side of Skunk Pond to jump from.
- Gear to deal with hostile spiders near the shore, including Orb Weavers.
How to reach and loot the Ranger Token

How to confirm you got it
You’ll know the pickup worked when the Ranger Token appears in the looting prompt and drops into your inventory. Once equipped, your attack damage rises and the Imperfect Block effect shows on your trinket, meaning perfect blocks no longer register. If you missed it, the most common reason is landing short of the platform, so re-climb the high ground and glide again with a mount for extra distance.
