Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy – All Theseus’ Echoes (Pierced Coins) Locations

Theseus’ Echoes are a small set of hidden charms in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy that reward Pierced Coins. You collect them by finding stone altars shaped like an axe resting over a chalice. Interacting with one plays a short audio memory from Theseus and adds a Pierced Coin to your charms. There are five in total, and grabbing every one unlocks the “In the Name of My Kin” trophy.

Quick answer: Interact with the Axe Chalice altars in Chapters 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10. None are missable, so any you skip can still be picked up later through Chapter Select.

What Pierced Coins do and how they are tracked

Pierced Coins are a distinct charm type earned only from the Axe Chalices, not from chests like other charms. Each one gives Sophia or Theseus a chance to use an ability without spending the Focus Gauge. The more coins you hold, the higher that chance becomes.

All five count toward the “In the Name of My Kin” trophy. They are not missable and remain available in Chapter Select after the story, so a skipped Echo will still register when you go back for it. Echo #1 – Chapter 5: Desolation It Wrought (The Four Symbols)

From the room with the four symbol pedestals, head through the doorway marked with the target-style symbol, the same “O with three lines” that resembles the giant light lenses. This puts you on the path leading out of the hub.

Cross the broken bridge and keep moving forward, then break off onto the dirt path on the left rather than following the main route. It is easy to miss.

Climb the hill lined with broken monuments until a temple appears on your left. Defeat the enemies here, then interact with the Axe statue inside to collect the first Pierced Coin.

Echo #2 – Chapter 6: What Lies Beneath (The Architect)

Take Daedalus’s Key from the petrified body. This lets you open the stone doors marked with circular indents.

Move to the opposite side of the petrified Daedalus and jump across the gap to reach the round room. Drop down the cliff.

Do not go through the door on the right yet. Instead, head straight and open the door at the end, tucked underneath the grand stairs. This reveals a hidden chamber holding the second Echo and its Pierced Coin.

Echo #3 – Chapter 7: Death It Sowed (A Stage of Skulls)

Progress until you reach the Black Temple and solve the gem puzzle, which drops you down a pit. Reach the bottom and head through the broken gate.

Slide under the gate and swing across the next two grappling points along the critical path toward the door ahead.

Just before opening that door, jump to the ledge opposite it to cross to the other side of the platform. The Echo sits along the wall here, to the right of the large locked green gate.

Echo #4 – Chapter 9: Night Has Come (Echoes of the Past)

Continue through Minos’ Palace. As part of story progress you will destroy a pedestal to reveal light, then squeeze through a gap and arrive at a balcony with petrified figures lined along the path.

At the balcony, turn left and crawl through the small hole in the wall. The fourth Echo and its Pierced Coin are waiting on the other side.

Echo #5 – Chapter 10: Parallel Paths (Daedalus’ Workshop)

Enter Daedalus’ Workshop and move to the far side of the room, around the central pillar. Look for the glimmering Resonance Point on the floor to orient yourself.

From the Resonance Point, turn right to find a mirror lens hanging from chains near the lower platform. Climb up onto the hanging lens.

On top of the lens, face the wall and use Sophia’s grapple on the marked point to release a weight. This drops the weight and unlocks a nearby door, opening a crypt on the upper level.

Head back up to the upper platform and take the staircase descending into the newly opened crypt. The fifth and final Echo sits here. Grabbing it immediately unlocks the “In the Name of My Kin” trophy. This is just before the mirror you interact with for story progress.

Confirming the trophy

Once you collect the fifth Pierced Coin, the “In the Name of My Kin” trophy pops right away. If it does not trigger, you are missing at least one Echo, so check your charm total under the Sophia menu and revisit any chapter you skipped through Chapter Select. Because these charms carry over into Chapter Select, you can clean up a missing one after finishing the story without a full replay.
