Ride A Pet is an adventure experience on Roblox built around one simple exchange: the faster your mount, the more ground you cover, and the more ground you cover, the rarer the eggs you can drag home before they crack. Everything else — cash, luck upgrades, mutations — feeds back into that loop.

Before you touch a single menu, it helps to know what the game is actually asking you to repeat. Five things, in order:

Mount a pet, because riding is faster than running.
Use a radar to locate eggs scattered across the map.
Carry each egg back to your ranch plot and drop it in a nest.
Hatch the egg, place the pet on your plot, and collect the cash it generates.
Spend that cash on Hatch Luck and better radars, then go find rarer eggs.

The experience supports desktop, console, mobile, and tablet, and servers cap at six players, so the map rarely feels crowded.

Buy a radar at Rick’s Shop and find your first rare egg

Wandering the map hoping to trip over an egg is the slow way to play. The gear shop sells radars that point you at eggs and tell you how far away they are, and the cheapest one pays for itself almost immediately.

Mount the pet you already have. The on-screen prompt spells it out — “Ride Pet To Go Faster” — and a starting Snail still beats travelling on foot.

Follow the green arrows on the ground toward the shop area. Floating labels mark each stall — Gears, Track, Sell, and Food — and a distance counter tells you how far you have left.

Open Rick’s Shop and buy the Advanced Radar for $50. Jewel Radar and Royal Radar sit above it in the same list for later, and the stock refreshes on a timer with a “Restocked Gear Shop” notice.

Activate the radar. It picks a target and displays the distance, which can run into the hundreds of metres — a Rare Egg 303 metres out in the forest is a normal result.

Ride to the egg and grab it. From that moment a break timer starts counting, and an “Egg Will Break” warning appears as it runs down.

Your egg basket has a limit. Once it reads “Egg Basket Is Full”, head home and unload before collecting anything else.

Hatch the egg and place the pet on your plot

Eggs only hatch at home. Your ranch plot is labelled with your username, and it holds the nests, the upgrade board, and every pet you decide to keep.

Ride back to your plot and drop the egg into an empty nest. The prompt reads “Place Egg In Nest”.

Dismount. The game asks you to get off your pet before it will start the hatch, so the mount does not block the nest.

Hatch the egg and watch the result pop up. A named pet card — Snail, Chicken, Sloth — with its rarity attached is your confirmation that the egg was banked rather than lost to the timer.

Place the pet on your plot. You can click each one into position individually, or use the Place Best button to drop your strongest pet down without hunting through the list.

Touch each placed pet to collect the cash it has banked. That is your income for radars, food, and luck upgrades.

Pet cash rates, rarity, and Index rewards

Rarer pets do two jobs at once. They move faster, which shortens every egg run, and they generate meaningfully more money per second while parked on your plot.

The jump from a Snail to a Chicken is a fourteen-fold income increase, which is why upgrading your mount matters more than filling the plot with duplicates. Rarer eggs also exist as named types, including Dragon Egg and Giant Egg.

Every new species you hatch registers in the Index. Unlocking entries there unlocks cash payouts you have to claim manually, and they are not small — $1,000 and $5,000 rewards both show up early. Open the Index, check the Pets tab, and hit Claim on anything with a reward attached.

Upgrade Hatch Luck to get rarer pets

Hatch Luck is the multiplier that decides how often an egg turns into something better than a Snail. You raise it at the upgrade board on your own plot, paying cash for each level.

Buy a level whenever you can afford one, ideally before you crack a batch of eggs rather than after. The board shows your current multiplier, and the number ticking up is the only confirmation you need that the purchase landed.

Feed pets Grass for XP and roll mutations

Food is the cheapest upgrade in the game. The food stall sells Grass at $10, and feeding it to a pet grants XP that levels the pet up. Nine units of Grass handed to a Chicken is worth +4,500 XP, which is a lot of progress for pocket change.

Pets can also mutate. A mutation attaches a status to the pet and changes how it performs — a Chicken becoming Shocked comes with a x2 Speed bonus, which directly shortens every egg run you make on it.

Rebirth, Shop, and Gift menus

Three menus sit outside the main loop and are worth knowing before you sink hours into a single save.

Rebirth — resets your progress in exchange for long-term gains, with the requirements listed on the plot screen.
Shop — sells eggs and cash bundles for Robux.
Gift — the game’s gifting system, with rewards tied to liking the game and joining the group.

Check the Rebirth requirements on your plot before committing. The screen states what you need and what gets reset, so read it rather than tapping through.

You can also ride out to other players’ ranches and pick up eggs you find there, dropping anything you do not want along the way. Between that, restocking radars, and stacking Hatch Luck, the game rewards short trips over long ones — get the egg home, hatch it, place the pet, and go again.
