Eggs are the only real currency of progress in Ride A Pet. Every pet you own came out of one, and the rarer the egg, the faster the pet that hatches from it. The catch is that eggs are scattered across a large map, they expire, and other players on your server are hunting the same ones you are. A radar is what turns that scavenger hunt into a straight line.
Quick answer: Buy a Royal Radar for $20,000 at the Gears stall, press Use Radar, follow the green distance marker to the egg, then carry it to your plot before the “Egg Will Break” timer runs out.
Where eggs come from and how often they rotate
Eggs spawn hidden across the world rather than sitting in a shop queue. The central market has four stalls, Food, Track, Gears and Sell, and the Track stall is the one that tells you what is currently out there. Talk to it and you get the “Eggs In World” list, showing each active egg alongside its value, from modest 7M entries up to 100M and 100B eggs.
That list is not permanent. A countdown on the panel, shown as “Egg resets in 2:43” when it is running, tells you how long the current spawns last. If nothing on the board is worth the trip, waiting for the reset is usually better than burning a radar charge on a low-value egg.
Check Track before you visit Gears. Buying a radar and then discovering the world only holds cheap eggs wastes both the cash and the timer.
Radar prices and stock at the Gears stall
Radars are sold from the Gears stall in limited quantities, with each entry tagged by rarity and a stock count such as “x2 Stock”. Sold-out entries read “No Stock” until the shop refreshes, and the panel shows a rolling timer for the next batch. You can also pay $3,000 to force a Restock instead of waiting.

Divine and Ethereal tiers also appear on the gear board above those entries, so the ladder continues past the Eternal Radar. The Royal Radar is the practical starting point, since $20,000 is reachable early and it tracks eggs the same way the pricier versions do.
Tracking and collecting an egg with a radar
The two things that lose you an egg
Most failed runs come down to one of two problems, and both are worth planning around before you spend $20,000 on a radar.
- Another player reaches your target first. The game says so outright with a message naming who took the egg your radar was tracking.
- The break timer expires on the way home. Carrying an egg slows you down, and a long return trip on a slow pet can run the clock out before you arrive.
- A DROP button is available while you are carrying an egg, so an accidental press mid-run also ends the attempt.
Speed is the fix for both. Faster pets are the whole point of the ride system, and higher-rarity pets move better than starter ones. Mutating pets pushes their speed higher still, which is why a Kangaroo earning $348/s is worth more to an egg runner than a cheap $3/s pet. The loop is self-reinforcing: better pets let you reach better eggs, which hatch into better pets.
How to confirm the egg is safe
A collected egg goes into your Egg Basket and stays there while the countdown runs. The run is only finished when you cross onto your own plot, marked in the world by the My Plot sign and your ranch name above the entrance. Getting there before the timer hits zero is the confirmation.
You will also see a “Royal Radar Finished” notice once the tracked egg is resolved, which tells you the device has done its job and the next hunt needs a fresh purchase.
Funding the next radar
Radars are consumable, so income matters as much as reflexes. Your pets generate cash per second while placed on the ranch, and the Pets panel has a Place Best button that fills your open slots with your strongest pets automatically. With a 4/5 slot layout, that one press can be the difference between affording a Magic Radar and settling for another Royal.
The Index, Rebirth and Hatch Luck options sit alongside it on the same menu, and a Friend Boost applies when you play with others. Between those and a steady radar routine, the fastest way up the pet ladder is simply running more eggs per session, picking targets off the Track board instead of guessing, and never starting a run on a pet too slow to finish it.
