Cash is the gate on everything in Zoo Escape. It unlocks new animals, better tools, and the gear you need before a heist in town, so most of the early game is really about stacking money before you commit to a breakout. The good news is that the biggest early payouts do not require a successful robbery at all.
Quick answer: Claim Day 1 of the Daily Reward menu for $1,250, redeem the code ZOOARMY in the Shop for 25k Cash, then escape and rob town targets for repeatable income.
Fastest cash and loot sources in Zoo Escape
Every run starts at the Choose your role screen, where you either join the Animals team or play as a Zoo Guard. Animals break out and hit the city; guards collect bounties and shut the escapes down with tranquilizers. The list below assumes you picked an animal, since that side has the most ways to earn.
| Source | What you get | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Daily Reward (Day 1) | $1,250 | Daily Reward menu |
| ZOOARMY code | 25k Cash | Shop code box |
| Pickpocketing | Glock | Behind officers in corridors |
| Digging | Keycards, Scissors, shovel, apple | Grass yard by the fence |
| Spin Wheel | Free Spin prizes | Prison roof |
| Gun Store | AK-47 and other weapons | Town |
| Robberies | Cash | Bank, gas station, jewelry store |
The two menu payouts are the only guaranteed money in a fresh run, so take them before you do anything risky. Everything else depends on getting outside the fence alive.

No Zoo Escape codes have expired so far, and new ones are announced through the game’s official Discord server and the Da Zookeepers Roblox group.
How to escape the zoo prison

The Spin Wheel on the prison roof gives a Free Spin and can drop a keycard, which is worth a detour if you are already up there hunting for tools.
Guards, arrests, and getting downed
Guards are the main thing standing between you and the fence, and each failure state costs a different amount of time.
- A guard with a lasso can catch you mid-corridor and start a Spam jump to break free prompt.
- If you fail to break free, you are jailed and the cell locks for 10 seconds.
- Once the lock timer ends, jump onto the wooden ledges above the cell door to get out again.
- Being downed by a guard respawns you in the armory area, where you can re-arm before leaving.
- Schedule phases such as Lunch time, Dinner time, Lockdown, and Lights Out change how exposed the corridors are.
Carrying a weapon does not make you safe indoors. Guards patrol the courtyard basketball court and the inner corridors, and returning to the prison to free other animals is the most common way runs end early.
Earning cash in town after the escape
The best payouts are in town. You can hit banks, gas stations, or jewelry stores, while police cars pursue you from one location to the next. Keep a vehicle close throughout; being caught on foot between buildings causes most lost loot.
Before robbing anything, stop at the Gun Store and buy a proper weapon. An AK-47 goes straight into your inventory and handles guards far better than a pickpocketed Glock. Keycards you dug up in the yard also come into play here, since they open secret rooms.
The Bank has basement vault doors, and those doors run on a cooldown timer. If the vault was hit recently, the prompt will not let you start the robbery until the timer clears, so check it before committing to a run across town.
Passive cash setups in other Roblox zoo games
Zoo tycoon games take the opposite approach to money. Instead of heists, the animals in your pen generate cash per second on their own, and cosmetic menus like Jungle Skin and Glacier Skin change the look of the enclosure without touching income.

Those games also pay you for being away. Rejoining pops an offline earnings claim, and a separate daily rewards menu stacks on top of it, so the first thing to do after loading in is clear both prompts before expanding the pen.

Build a Zoo
In Build a Zoo, you buy eggs off a moving conveyor belt by pressing E, carry them to an empty plot square, and wait out a countdown until they hatch into a pet. The map is shared with other players, which means unattended pets can be stolen from your zoo.

Pets come in six rarities, running Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythical, with earnings rising at each step. Teleport buttons at the top of the screen labelled Sell and Home cut out the walking, and upgrading the egg machine and conveyor belt at the Gold Boost station unlocks rarer eggs and mutations.

Back in Zoo Escape, the order that works best is simple. Take the free money first, dig until you have Scissors, cut the fence, then let the town do the heavy lifting on your balance.
