Update 20 has rolled out for Run a Restaurant, and the centerpiece is the Market, a cross-server trading system for items and pets. Alongside it come a Safari Crate of new pets, a reworked Dragon, two new passes, and a batch of bug fixes. Burnt Toast Labs laid out the full set of changes in what the studio posted on Discord.
The Market: cross-server trading for items and pets
The Market lets you buy and sell items and pets with players from every server, using either Cash or Diamonds. Earnings sit and wait for you, so you can claim them whenever you return. Market Listings let you browse by category, sort by price, and watch recent sales roll in as they happen. A new Market Teleport option in the Teleport menu drops you straight into the Market.
There’s also a rare Black Market find called the Golden Order Stand. Meals prepared there can come out on a golden plate that pays 1.5x. Together these turn the Market into a place to move goods across servers rather than only inside your own session.
Dragon now comes with a guaranteed S perk
The Dragon now arrives with a guaranteed S perk. Dragons you already own are upgraded too, so existing owners get the improved version without needing to acquire a new one.
Safari Crate: six new pets and the Explorer Axolotl
The Safari Crate is an exclusive addition that holds six new pets: the Flamingo, Zebra, Giraffe, Elephant, Rhino, and the ultra rare Explorer Axolotl.

As a support pet, the Explorer Axolotl can be equipped with another pet to inherit 25% of its perks. Both the Rhino and Explorer Axolotl can be ridden.
Two new passes: Auto Collect Cash and Extra Market Slots
The Auto Collect Cash pass sends register, tip jar, cart, and barista cash straight to you, including offline earnings. The Extra Market Slots pass adds 4 more market slots for your listings.
Bug fixes
- Pets no longer get stuck underground.
- Pets stay on top of the water.
- Pets catch up if you leave them behind.
- The Barista Stool model is fixed.
The patch notes list additional smaller fixes beyond these. Most of the corrections here target pet movement problems that could break how companions followed you around the restaurant.
