Burlcap is a Rare scroom that lives in Songkeeper’s Grove, the starting area of SCROOMS on Roblox. It sits at entry number 10 of 15 on the Songkeeper’s Grove page of the Index, and every one you catch arrives with its own frequency somewhere inside its printed band.
Quick answer: Catch Burlcap in Songkeeper’s Grove by playing an instrument from hotbar slot 1 and completing the catch minigame. It fills its Index card once you land one.
Burlcap rarity and frequency range
Burlcap’s Index entry is headed Rare Scroom. Its frequency band is printed directly on the card as 71.2 Hz – 118.7 Hz, and each individual Burlcap you catch gets a frequency inside that range. That value shows on the catch message and on the scroom’s backpack card.
The flavour line on the entry reads “Not the smartest tool in the shed…” Below that, the card keeps a Stats block with Highest Frequency and Date caught, and a Tones block with three lines for Melodic, Harmonic and Resonant.

Add to Google Preferences →Where to find Burlcap
Head to Songkeeper’s Grove, the area you start in. Burlcap appears on the grass around the spawn sign, among the red wooden houses. You do not pick which scroom answers your song; the game decides that. Keep playing in the Grove and a Burlcap will eventually respond.
How to catch Burlcap
Every scroom is caught the same way, so the routine for Burlcap is the standard catch. Burlcap was landed with the Tamer’s Guitar on the grass near the spawn sign.
How to know it worked
Before you catch one, Burlcap’s Index card is a black silhouette labelled “???”. Catching a single Burlcap fills in that card with its full entry, rarity, frequency range and flavour line. The Stats block then records your Highest Frequency and the date, and the catch message shows the exact frequency of the scroom you just landed.
Burlcap tones: Melodic, Harmonic and Resonant
Tones are versions of the same scroom, marked by a prefix on the name. A catch can read “Melodic Burlcap” or “Harmonic Burlcap”, and one scroom can carry two at once, such as “Melodic Harmonic Burlcap”. On the Index card, a gold star marks Melodic as caught and a cyan star marks Harmonic. Each tone line in the Tones block shows either a caught date or “Uncaught” until you land that version.
