Update 1 brings Flower Breathing to Slayers 2 as a new moveset, and its complete showcase is now available. The kit prioritizes control over raw burst damage. It offers an invulnerable escape, an area debuff that shuts down an opponent’s offense, a cinematic counter, and a guard break for players who rely on blocking.
Quick answer: The Flower Breathing kit features five techniques, alongside Honorable Shadow in counter form. Crimson Hanagoromo grants i-frames; Vermillion Eye inflicts Fear, Slow, and Suppressed; Whirling Peach guard-breaks.
Flower Breathing moveset in Slayers 2
Every technique in the kit does a different job. Two moves handle defense, one handles control, and three handle offense. The table below shows each move’s role before the detail sections that follow.
| Technique | Role | Key effect |
|---|---|---|
| Crimson Hanagoromo | Defense, area damage | I-frames while hidden |
| Vermillion Eye | Control | Fear, Slow, Suppressed |
| Whirling Peach | Pressure | Delayed barrage, guard break |
| Peonies of Futility | Engage | Dash into aerial strike |
| Honorable Shadow | Opener | Stun, shockwave knockback |
| Honorable Shadow [Counter Variant] | Counter | Cinematic slash burst, knockdown |
In the showcase loadout, Honorable Shadow sits on key 1, Crimson Hanagoromo on 2, Peonies of Futility on 3, Whirling Peach on 4, and Vermillion Eye on 5. Slot 6 holds Black Ropes, which is not part of Flower Breathing.
Crimson Hanagoromo and the Honorable Shadow counter
Both of the kit’s defensive tools keep you from being hit, but they do it in very different ways.
Crimson Hanagoromo is activated by holding the skill. The user vanishes as slashes erupt in a storm around them, remaining fully invulnerable for the entire time they are hidden. They can drift slightly as they cut, making the move useful both for escaping and punishing anyone who closes in. The showcase also demonstrates follow-up combos against a training dummy.

Honorable Shadow [Counter Variant] is the other defensive option. A strike against the counter triggers a cinematic: the user calmly strolls past the attacker as slashes flash across the screen. The sword’s closing flick unleashes a flurry around the opponent, with slashes and petals that send them sprawling. Since the move plays as a complete cutscene, a successful counter guarantees a punish rather than an exchange of hits.

Vermillion Eye debuffs: Fear, Slow, and Suppressed
Vermillion Eye has no slash animation. The user dips their blade and reveals their crimson eyes, sending out a pressure wave that affects every nearby enemy with three debuffs at once:
- Fear puts the target in the near-death condition displayed when HP is low.
- Slow cuts movement speed by 30%.
- Suppressed leaves the target able to block, but bars punches and skill activations.

The three debuffs combine to slow an opponent and leave blocking as their only available action. This makes Vermillion Eye a natural way to set up the kit’s guard-break move.
Flower Breathing offense against blocking players
The three attacking moves each deal with a blocking opponent differently. One can be stopped by block, one breaks through it, and one relies on a stun instead.
Whirling Peach
Whirling Peach carries the user forward through a series of sweeping slashes. Use the camera to aim each slash after the first, making it difficult for a retreating target to get away. At the end of the chain, a blade flick triggers a delayed barrage against every enemy hit, then knocks them back. The move also guard breaks, giving the kit its most reliable answer to an opponent who stays behind block.

Peonies of Futility
Peonies of Futility starts with a forward dash, carving a crescent into the ground. Catching an enemy launches the user into the air, followed by a single downward strike that blossoms on contact. The airborne follow-up can be blocked, so a defender with quick reactions may interrupt the second part.

Honorable Shadow
In its regular form, Honorable Shadow stuns its target with a flowing slash. A shockwave follows through the target and sends them flying. Although it is the kit’s simplest technique, the stun makes it a reliable way to start an attack.

Flower Breathing PvP duel at full mastery
The showcase’s second half features a complete duel in a sand arena, where both players use Flower Breathing. A combo-hit counter appears on the left side of the HUD, while red damage numbers appear above characters when they are hit. The featured character is level 225 and has 1000 health. Flower, Sword, and Sun Mastery each read 100/100, showing the style at full mastery rather than at an early level.
With both duelists using the same style, the fight demonstrates how its abilities interact against each other. One example is a guard break colliding with the opposing player’s counter.
Flower Breathing and the Update 1 showcase schedule
Flower Breathing is the second moveset showcase revealed ahead of Update 1, following Beast Breathing. Slayers 2 intends to reveal another showcase at intervals of about four days, continuing through the final one. Once those are done, it will release a trailer featuring most of the update’s content beyond movesets, along with the trailer’s release date. Update 1 still has no officially confirmed launch date, and details on Flower Breathing’s trainer and unlock requirements remain undisclosed.
Slayers in Slayers 2 already pick from eight Breathing Styles. Flower Breathing adds one built on control and counters. Its aerial follow-up can be blocked, Whirling Peach goes through block, and a Suppressed opponent can do nothing except block.
