Walk into the snow biome in Slayers 2 without the right gear and the cold starts chipping away at your health almost immediately. There is no clothing option or potion that stops it. The only thing that keeps you alive out there is the Emberheart Lantern, and getting one means killing a boss that has to be summoned with a rare item first.
Quick answer: Farm a Frozen Heart, use it to summon the Yeti Demon at The White Terror Lair, kill it for the Emberheart Lantern, then equip the lantern and stand at a campfire until Cold Immunity fills to 10 minutes.
What you need before entering Iceveil Valley
Cold immunity in Slayers 2 is a chain of three things, and skipping any of them leaves you taking tick damage in the snow. Line these up before you make the trip.
- A Frozen Heart in your inventory, which is the summon item for the boss.
- Enough combat power to survive the Yeti Demon, either solo or with a group.
- The Emberheart Lantern itself, which only drops from that boss.
- A campfire in the snow biome to actually charge the immunity timer.

Equipping the lantern by itself does nothing for the cold. It is a stat item that unlocks the immunity system, not an instant buff.

The Frozen Heart is a drop, not a purchase from a standard shop, so expect to repeat whatever method you pick. Chest raids are the most consistent route because you can clear the enemies guarding an area and open several containers in one pass.
| Source | How to get it |
|---|---|
| Rare Chests | Open them wherever they spawn on the map |
| Raid chests (Tiers 1, 2, 3) | Clear enemies during chest raids, then open sealed caches |
| Sealed Luck Chests | Defeat the NPCs guarding the chest first |
| Black Marketer | Buy it when the item is stocked |
Some Luck Chests are protected, meaning the chest stays locked until the nearby enemies are dead. Clearing them is part of the farm, and the same runs tend to hand out other useful items along the way.

Yeti Demon location: The White Terror Lair
The boss sits inside a cave hidden behind a waterfall, past the Butterfly Estate side of the map. A mount makes the trip far shorter, and unlocking the nearby shrines for fast travel saves you repeating the ride every time the lantern fails to drop.

How to beat the Yeti Demon
The fight has one mechanic that catches people out. At certain points the Yeti Demon summons minions and becomes invulnerable while regenerating health. Attacking the boss during that phase is wasted effort. Turn to the minions, wipe them out, and the boss becomes damageable again.

Lower-level characters will probably die here more than once. Two things help. Fighting alongside other players spreads the damage and gives you room to make mistakes, and the Set Spawn Point game pass lets you respawn nearby instead of running the whole route again after a wipe.
Emberheart Lantern drop chance
The Emberheart Lantern has a 25% chance to drop when the Yeti Demon dies. One kill is often not enough. Plan on stocking up several Frozen Hearts before you head out, because every extra attempt means another summon item and another trip if you do not have a spawn point set nearby.

How to charge Cold Immunity at a campfire
With the lantern in hand, the last piece is the campfire system. Campfires are scattered around Iceveil Valley, and standing near one is what actually builds the timer.
You know it worked when the Cold Immunity counter is visible and ticking down while your health bar stays flat in the snow. If your health is still dropping, either the lantern is not equipped or the timer has expired.
That 10-minute window is the whole rhythm of the snow biome for now. Charge up, run your quests or farm your chests, then loop back to a fire before the timer empties. It is not permanent protection, but it turns Iceveil Valley from a place that punishes you for standing still into somewhere you can actually explore.
