Changing your combat path in Slayers 2 starts with clearing the style you already have. The Breathing Style reset sits inside the Shop, and it is sold under two currencies at once, so the price you see depends entirely on which tab you are looking at.
Quick answer: In the Shop, select Ore and purchase Reset Breathing for 7 Ore; the alternative costs 100 Robux. This clears only your current style, and equipping a new one requires completing a trainer’s questline.
Reset Breathing cost: Ore vs Robux
Reset Breathing appears twice in the Shop under the same name, once on the Robux tab and once on the Ore tab. The item you receive is identical. Only the payment changes, so players who stop at the default Robux view often assume the reset is a paid-only feature.
| Item | Tab | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Reset Breathing | Ore | 7 Ore |
| Reset Breathing | Robux | 100 Robux |

Ore is an in-game drop, which makes the 7 Ore option the free route for players who would rather not spend premium currency. Ore is a Mythic-rarity material with a low drop chance, reported anywhere from a few percent up to around 10%, so expect a short grind rather than an instant collection.
Separate Shop resets cover Fighting Style and Race, then Evil Art; Skill Points and Reputation have their own options too. Since the entries are adjacent, check that Reset Breathing—not another reset—is selected before you confirm.

You do not need to find a specific NPC for the reset itself. The whole process happens inside the menu.

Check the Breathing Technique slot to verify the change. After the reset, it should be empty because your previous style has been removed, and you can begin a different trainer’s questline.
The reset removes your current style but does not waive what comes next. Each trainer sets their own level, material, and training-task requirements, so choose the style you plan to pursue before spending Ore.
Where to farm the 7 Ore
Ore comes from containers scattered across the world and from a handful of quest turn-ins. No single chest guarantees a drop, so the number of containers you open matters more than picking one perfect spot.
- Ice Chest and Snow Chest
- Rare Chest, Common Chest, and Lost Chest
- Sealed Cache and World Events Chest
- Fishing and Aokigahara shops
- Boss drops and direct quest rewards
The chest and boss rotation
Waiting beside a looted chest wastes its cooldown period. Instead, clear the containers you can reach, then use the wait to fight a boss that gives rewards as well.
Quests that hand over Ore directly
Two NPC quests reward Ore without the drop-chance gamble, and both slot neatly between chest laps. For Restock the Infirmary, head to Butterfly Estate and speak to Shiori. A horse cuts the travel time considerably if the estate is far from your spawn.
For the second quest, fast travel to Frost Veil Shrine in Iceveil Valley and speak with Iceveil Guard Shiro. Ice Chests and Snow Chests are also found in that snowy region, so combine the hand-in with a brief loot sweep.
Track how many containers you open on each farming run, rather than counting on one particular chest. Opening them in volume is what gets you to seven.
Unlocking a new Breathing Style after the reset
Humans alone can use the eight Breathing Styles. To unlock one, find its trainer NPC and finish that character’s questline, meeting its individual level, currency, and material costs. Choose your next style first so you farm for one set of needs instead of gathering a mixture for different trainers.
| Style | Trainer | Where to find them |
|---|---|---|
| Water | Urokodaki | Underwater passage near Bamboo Grove |
| Flame | Rengu | House past Mistfall Village’s red bridge |
| Serpent | Obari | Rocky mountain crevice near the starter village |
| Stone | Gyorei | The Stone Sanctuary temple courtyard |
| Thunder | Zentaro | Highest peak above Hidden Mist Village |
| Wind | Saneri | Snowy platform in Iceveil Valley |
| Sound | Tengai | High cliffs of Iceveil Valley |
| Insect | Shinora | Along the exterior wall of Butterfly Estate |

Requirements can change with updates, so check the trainer’s latest dialogue rather than assuming every style has identical costs. Water requires Wen along with Demon Horns; Stone calls for Beast Cores and a series of training trials. Flame commonly requires Level 25, 6,000 Wen, and 10 Demon Horns before its six training tasks become available.
Breathing Styles cannot be used by Demons. Demon characters rely on Blood Demon Arts instead, and switching to that path means lowering your Reputation to -40 and then speaking with Muzan.
Ore costs little and the route is easy to repeat, so spending Robux to change styles is rarely worthwhile. Pick up some extra Ore on your next chest run and you can try another technique without spending money.
