Respawning far from where you are grinding wastes more time in Slayers 2 than any fight does. The game does let you move your respawn location, but the control is not in a menu — it sits on a physical object in the world that you have to walk up to.
Quick answer: Walk up to a glowing pink crystal, such as the one beside the Torii gate at Windy Peak, wait for the [T] Set Spawn prompt, then hold T until the confirmation appears.
Spawn points cannot be set from the map menu
Opening the world map and clicking an area does nothing to your respawn location. The map is a navigation and filter tool — its Map Settings panel only controls what you see, with toggles for Bosses, Areas, Shrines, Shrine Names, Shrine Icons, and Quests. There is no “set checkpoint” button anywhere in it.

What the map is good for is locating the crystal itself. A pink crystal icon appears on the minimap and marks the shrine and spawn location for the area you are in, so turning on shrine icons makes the object easier to track down while you run.

Windy Peak above [T] Set Spawn.
If night has made the glow hard to spot, open the menu, go to the Servers tab, and join a different server. Time of day varies between servers, so hopping into one at sunrise makes the crystal far easier to see.
How to confirm the spawn point saved
The game tells you in plain text at the top of the screen. After the flash, a message names the area your respawn is now bound to, in the form Spawn is already set to [Windy Peak]. If that line does not appear, you did not hold the key long enough — stay next to the crystal and hold T again.
| On-screen cue | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pink crystal icon on minimap | Shrine and spawn location for that area |
[T] Set Spawn | You are close enough to interact |
| White flash | The hold registered |
Spawn is already set to [Area] | Respawn point saved to that area |
Where to put your spawn point while leveling
Because the setting is a single location rather than a list of checkpoints, move it every time your grinding spot changes. The rule that saves the most time is simple: keep your spawn on the crystal closest to whatever you are farming.
- Set your spawn to the nearest Bamboo Grove crystal to your current grinding area.
- Before starting the bear grind, activate the spawn point next to that area.
- Re-set it whenever a quest chain moves you to a new region.
- Repeat boss attempts are cheaper when death drops you beside the fight instead of across the map.
Shrines double as paid fast-travel destinations once unlocked with in-game cash, so a location you have already invested in is usually the sensible place to anchor your respawn as well. Between the two systems, most of the running you do in Slayers 2 is optional — it only feels mandatory if your spawn is still sitting back at the starting village.
