There is a cave hidden behind a waterfall near Svartrau Outskirts in The Blood of Dawnwalker, and it is one of the fastest payouts in the early game. Nothing guards it. No wraiths, no wolves, no miniboss health bar. You climb down a cliff, loot a skeleton, and walk out with a pile of silver worth roughly 2,500 Denarii once you have a buyer for it.
Quick answer: Head to the waterfall by the bridge northwest of Svartrau City, drop down the rocks on the right side of the falls, enter the cave behind the water, loot every silver item near the skeleton, then sell the lot to the Silver Trader in the southwest corner of Svartrau City for close to 2,500 Denarii.
Silver cave location: the waterfall near Svartrau Outskirts
The entrance sits behind falling water, so it is invisible from the road above. The only tricky part is the descent, and it is a controlled drop rather than a fall you can die to if you take it in stages.

Note: nothing in here fights back. If you are running this at a low level, the only real risk is the climb down.

A skeleton lies at the back of the chamber, surrounded by scattered valuables. Interact with the remains and every container and pile around it, since the silver is spread across several separate pickups rather than one stack.
| Item | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Master Silver Silver Cross | Contraband, sells to the Silver Trader |
| Master Silver Silver Bowl | Contraband, sells to the Silver Trader |

You need the Silver Trader unlocked before the silver is worth anything
Silver is illegal in Vale Sangora, and Brencis has spent years destroying what remains of it. Ordinary merchants will not touch the stuff at any price, so the cave loot sits dead in your inventory until one specific vendor agrees to deal with you. Approach him without meeting a condition first and he simply tells Coen to get lost.
There are two ways to open that dialogue option, and either one works on its own.
| Unlock method | What it involves |
|---|---|
| Into the Den quest | Clear the cave in the peat bog northwest of Laslea Glen, kill the Ravenous Bear, loot the corpse for a Tattered Letter, then dig up the treasure in the marked house with the yellow X. The dig costs one Time Segment. |
| Infamy Level 4 | Raise your Infamy with the court by disrupting its operations, such as destroying blood stocks, hitting prisoner transports, or wiping out guard camps. This accumulates naturally as you play. |
The bear in Into the Den hits hard, and it can end a Prologue-level Coen in two or three swings. Block in the direction its claw comes from, parry when the shield icon flashes red, and dodge sideways through its unblockable swing. If you would rather skip that fight entirely, just keep playing and let Infamy climb to Level 4.
Sell the silver to the Silver Trader in Svartrau City

Individual silver pieces go for a few hundred Denarii each, and the full haul from the waterfall cave lands close to 2,500. Clearing 1,000 Denarii of silver sales with this merchant also pops the Smuggler achievement.
If the silver option is missing or the payout looks low
Two things go wrong here, and both have clean fixes. If the trader refuses to talk business, you have not finished Into the Den or reached Infamy Level 4 yet, and no amount of dialogue will change that. If the option is there but the numbers seem thin, check that your last batch actually transferred, since silver stacks are easy to leave behind in the trade window.
You can also raise the total before you sell. The Bewitching Influence passive improves vendor prices across the board, which pushes the silver haul higher and cuts what you pay for goods in return. Picking it up before a big sale is worth the skill point if you plan to keep running silver.
The waterfall cave is the cleanest silver stash in the region, but it is not the only one. Lumps of Silver turn up in stone piles inside caves elsewhere, the cathedral hides a stocked room that the boy working there will open for you during the day, and treasure hunts frequently pay out in silver trinkets. Once the trader is unlocked, every piece you pick up anywhere in Vale Sangora becomes spendable.
