Downtime, timezone return windows, and the exact fixes deployed in the Into The Dark hotfix.

The Division 2 went offline on Friday, July 24, 2026, for a targeted hotfix tied to the Into The Dark season and the ongoing Dust Storm event. The maintenance was scheduled to run five hours, and during that window the game could not be launched on PC, PlayStation, or Xbox.

Quick answer: Servers were set to return at 3:00 PM CEST / 9:00 AM EDT / 6:00 AM PDT after going down at 10:00 AM CEST / 4:00 AM EDT / 1:00 AM PDT. Once the window closes and the login screen accepts your session without the MIKE-01 prompt, you are back in.

The Division 2 Y8S2.2 downtime and return times

The shutdown began in the early morning across North America and mid-morning in Europe. Estimated downtime was five hours, which put the planned return in the mid-afternoon for CEST players and mid-morning for the East Coast. Times can slip if the deployment runs long, and any extension is posted to the game’s official channels rather than the client.

Note: The five-hour figure is a target, not a guarantee. If the developers add an unscheduled extension, the return times above move back accordingly.

What the Into The Dark hotfix changed

This was a fix-only patch, not a content drop. It cleared two problems that surfaced during the Dust Storm event, both of which blocked players from finishing objectives or collecting rewards they were owed.

  • Blocked progression in the “Tombs” mission, which stopped players from completing the run.
  • Hunter and boss masks failing to drop in some instances, so they now appear in the loot pool as intended.

If either issue was stopping you before the patch, retry the relevant activity once servers are live. The Tombs mission should now advance past the point where it previously stalled, and mask drops should register on eligible kills.

MIKE-01 error code during maintenance

While servers are down, Strategic Homeland Division (SHD) Agents who try to log in get hit with the MIKE-01 error code. In almost every case, this simply means the servers are offline for maintenance and nothing is wrong with your account or install.

There is one exception worth knowing. A local network connection problem can also throw MIKE-01 repeatedly. If the error keeps appearing well after the return window has passed and others report the game as live, restart your client and check your connection before assuming the servers are still down.

How to confirm servers are back

You know the maintenance is over when the login screen accepts your session and drops you into the game without the MIKE-01 prompt. Until that happens, the game stays inaccessible on all three platforms.

The most reliable way to track live status and any last-minute extension is the game’s official channel on X (@TheDivisionGame). If you run into a new bug once the patch is live, log it through the official Bug Reporter, which also shows the current priority list for known issues.

The hotfix arrived during a busy stretch for the Dust Storm event, which made New York free-to-play for the duration and brought back Realism mode alongside a new sandy weather system and Dust Devil enemies. With the Tombs progression block and the missing mask drops cleared, players heading back into the city should find those activities working as designed.
