Inside Bonnie’s room, Fortnite hosts Toy Story 5: The Great Toy Rescue as a limited-time experience. A rift scatters six toys across separate creator-made islands, and you must tackle one challenge per toy to bring the whole group back.
Quick answer: Load island code 6059-3243-8283 in Fortnite Discover, finish the six creator-island rescue missions, and return each toy to Bonnie’s room to unlock its ability. The event runs through October 5, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT.
Event dates and what it is
The Great Toy Rescue became available on September 22, 2026 and remains open through October 5, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT, giving players about two weeks. That schedule coincides with Toy Story 5’s Disney+ debut on September 23, after its theatrical run exceeded $1 billion worldwide.
Disney and Pixar are using this as their first Fortnite adventure to span several creator-made islands under one brand instead of centering on a single standalone map. The project runs as a UEFN experience rather than a Battle Royale mode, and it introduces no playable Toy Story skins.
The event ends permanently when October 5 arrives. At that point, the island code and links to the cross-island rewards will no longer function, so complete any rescues you want before the closing weekend.

Your starting point is a Bonnie’s-room island modeled after the film. Above the bed, a Fortnite rift opens and sends Jessie, Buzz Lightyear, Rex, and Forky away to separate creator-made islands. Fortnite characters enter the room afterward to retrieve them.

The hub is Bonnie’s room rendered at toy height, so ordinary furniture becomes terrain you climb and grapple across. It works as a persistent home base you return to between missions, with hidden imaginary spaces tucked inside, including a castle, an ancient temple, and a spaceship. Each of those opens up as you rescue more toys and gain new abilities.

All six toy rescue missions
The portals lead to separate creator-made islands, where each toy presents a distinct objective, making every rescue different. Five missions can be completed alone, while one calls for a partner. Any sequence works, though each rescued toy grants traversal abilities that let you access additional sections of Bonnie’s room.
| Toy | Objective | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Forky | Track down a stash of paperclips | Solo collection |
| Hamm | Collect coins around the island | Solo collection |
| Rex | Find and repair a broken necklace | Solo repair |
| Jessie | Collect Bullseye’s horseshoes | Solo collection |
| Woody | Gather crayons | Two-player squad |
| Buzz Lightyear | Secure batteries while climbing | Platforming vs. rivals |
Buzz Lightyear offers the hardest mission. You must climb through obstacles while also avoiding and beating competing players as you collect his batteries, making the other contestants nearly as dangerous as the course.
Woody requires two players and takes the form of a squad contest in which the pair collects crayons. Bring a friend or younger player for this one instead of trying to enter through solo matchmaking.
Tackle Woody and Forky first, and save Buzz until you have unlocked several abilities.
Calculator codes and the ability each toy gives
When you complete a mission, you return to Bonnie’s room and enter a four-digit code on the large calculator device labeled “Enter Your Code” to bring that toy back. Each rescue then hands you a new traversal tool you need to reach more of the hub.

| Toy | Code | Ability unlocked |
|---|---|---|
| Woody | 2295 | Toy flint-knock for hitting hidden targets |
| Jessie | 1337 | Pickaxe for swinging and smashing |
| Buzz Lightyear | 7590 | Bounce-pad launch to get airborne |
| Hamm | 6742 | Tool to clear cobwebs and tight spaces |
| Rex | 1001 | Lift and move heavy objects |
| Forky | 3098 | Imagination and creativity mechanic |

These tools let you access newly available sections of Bonnie’s room and collect items hidden throughout the island. Every toy you bring back causes the hub to grow further.
Collectibles inside Bonnie’s room
Beyond the rescue missions, there is a set of collectibles to hunt across the hub. You cannot reach all of them without the abilities the toys give you, so completing rescues and exploring the room go hand in hand.
| Collectible | Total count |
|---|---|
| Targets | 50 |
| Hi-Tech Buzz Figures | 30 |
| Memories | 10 |
The island also includes Photobooth Mode, which lets you pose for pictures with the Toy Story characters; it is a small bonus for families playing with younger members. In addition, every participating creator island awards themed rewards of its own, so completing all six is worthwhile instead of choosing only the easiest missions.
How to tell a rescue worked
The game makes a successful rescue obvious: an on-screen banner identifies the toy you saved, for example, “Jessie Unlocked” or “Woody Unlocked,” and displays the newly earned ability icon beside the name. The rescued character also returns to Bonnie’s room.

Should the hub continue to show a missing toy after you complete that creator-island activity, go back to Bonnie’s room and wait for the main experience to refresh before attempting the entire objective again. Completion means all six toys are together in the bedroom; at that point, the complete hub and its collectibles become available. Finish everything before the October 5 deadline, because the code will not work afterward.
