Tricorner holds five Cluemaster Puzzle Boxes, each locked behind a specific character ability and tied to a chapter unlock in the main story. Cluemaster's voice signs off on every successful solve, but the puzzles themselves range from simple button sequences to four-character relays that require swapping between Robin, Nightwing, and Batman mid-solve.

Character and chapter requirements
Every Tricorner Cluemaster Puzzle is gated behind at least one character who unlocks during the story. Attempting them out of order is possible, but you will not be able to interact with the puzzle elements without the right kit.
| Puzzle | Required character(s) | Chapter unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Cluemaster Puzzle 1 | Robin | Chapter 3 |
| Cluemaster Puzzle 2 | Jim Gordon, Catwoman | Chapters 1 and 2 |
| Cluemaster Puzzle 3 | Talia | Chapter 5 |
| Cluemaster Puzzle 4 | Batgirl | Chapter 4 |
| Cluemaster Puzzle 5 | Robin, Nightwing (Batman assists) | Chapters 3 and 4 |
Cluemaster Puzzle 1: Rooftop terminal (Robin)
The first puzzle sits on a Tricorner rooftop and centers on a yellow terminal paired with a wall panel of three red buttons. Robin is the only character who can engage the terminal here, so make sure he is in your active party.
Step 1: Approach the yellow terminal and use Robin's staff to insert it into the slot. Move the staff using the left stick to rotate it and activate the wall panel nearby.

Step 2: Walk over to the wall panel and press each of the three red buttons. They need to flip to green in the correct sequence shown on the panel itself.
Step 3: With all three buttons green, the cage opens. Collect the Cluemaster Puzzle Box to confirm the solve. Cluemaster will say, "Thank you for putting on a good show."

Cluemaster Puzzle 2: Green liquid container (Batman, Catwoman, Gordon)
This one is a three-character relay built around a large container of green chemical sludge. You start as Batman, then cycle through Catwoman and Jim Gordon to retrieve the box pinned underneath.
Step 1: As Batman, grab the yellow valve attached to the container and turn it. The green liquid drains out, exposing the mechanism underneath.

Step 2: Swap to Catwoman and use her whip on the lever on the side of the container to lift it slightly.
Step 3: Switch to Jim Gordon and use his gadget to drag the Cluemaster Puzzle Box out from under the container. Collect it to finish.

Cluemaster Puzzle 3: Pipe assembly (Talia)
Talia is the gate here, both for traversal and for the pipe-fitting interaction. The puzzle is a vertical structure with two missing pipe segments.
Step 1: As Talia, jump up to the pipe structure and pick up the first loose pipe segment. Carry it to the gap and slot it into place.

Step 2: Grab the second loose pipe piece and fit it into the remaining gap in the structure.
Step 3: Drop down, pull the lever on the terminal at ground level, and the cage opens. Collect the Cluemaster Puzzle Box from inside.

Cluemaster Puzzle 4: Electric gate battery (Batgirl)
An electrified gate blocks access to the cage. Batgirl's focus grapple is required to reach the battery that powers the gate down.
Step 1: Stand in front of the electric gate and use Batgirl's focus launch (R1) to grapple up to the platform above.

Step 2: Interact with the terminal on the platform and pick up the battery-shaped object it dispenses. Drop back down to ground level, carrying it.
Step 3: Place the battery into the receptacle next to the gate. The electric field switches off, and the gate opens for you to collect the Puzzle Box. Cluemaster's outro line shifts to "And just like that, victory is yours."

Cluemaster Puzzle 5: Shipping container (Robin, Nightwing, Batman)
The final Tricorner Cluemaster Puzzle is the longest and involves the most character swapping. The box sits inside a sealed shipping container that has to be opened in layers.
Step 1: As Robin, approach the container and pry off the side panel using his staff. This exposes a grapple point.
Step 2: Switch to Nightwing and launch (R2) onto the revealed grapple point. He uses his escrima sticks to wrench the container doors open.

Step 3: Change to Batman and aim the Batclaw at the switch visible inside the container. Pull it to drop access to the lower compartment.
Step 4: Swap back to Nightwing, fire at the second grapple point inside, and ride it down into the lower section. Collect the Cluemaster Puzzle Box. The closing line, "Our contestant has outdone themselves," confirms Tricorner is cleared.

How to confirm a clean sweep
Each successful pickup plays a Cluemaster voice line and adds a Puzzle Box to your collectible count for the Tricorner district. If the cage does not open, the most common reason is a missed step in the sequence, usually a button pressed out of order on Puzzle 1 or a pipe slotted into the wrong gap on Puzzle 3. Returning to the puzzle resets the interactive elements so you can retry without penalty.
