Shiro is an Exclusive-rarity unit in Universal Tower Defense Z that arrived alongside the Football Blitz mode. He leans on cold control, stacking Chill on enemies, freezing targets on every hit to cut their movement speed, and scaling his own damage up based on how many debuffs sit on the enemy.

Quick answer: Reach Tier 14 of the Blitz battlepass to claim the normal Shiro from the free track, or the Shiny variant from the premium track (unlocked by the Blue Lock Blitz gamepass for 999 Robux). Earn Blitz EXP by clearing the Blitz Event map to push through the tiers.

Before building around him, it helps to know his role and deployment numbers. Both the base and evolved forms use the Ice Element, and he costs Yen to place on the field.

How to get Shiro from the Blitz battlepass

Shiro sits at Tier 14 of the Blitz battlepass, which works like the Season Pass and splits into a free reward track and a premium reward track. The free track is open to everyone, while the premium track requires the Blue Lock Blitz gamepass.

To climb the tiers, you need Blitz EXP. You earn it by completing the Blitz Event map, which sends seven waves of enemies at your team, with each wave harder than the last. Keep clearing that map until you reach Tier 14 and the unit unlocks on your chosen track.

How to evolve Shiro into Shiro (Complete)

Shiro upgrades into Shiro (Complete) once you gather every required material. The evolution unlocks his Insanity mechanic and his Complete Transformation ability, so it is the step that turns him into a proper carry.

Farm your fragments. You can buy some from the Merchant and the Virtual Merchant, then top up your stock by clearing Challenge maps or Acts in the Legend Stage. Gold comes naturally as you complete levels.
Collect Football. Clearing Act 1 of the Universal Football Event map gives one Football as a guaranteed reward, so repeat runs until you have the ten you need.
Buy the Raging Wolf. This item costs 500 Football Currency in the Blitz Event shop, and you build that currency up over the same event runs, so expect several clears before you can afford it.
Talk to the Evolutions NPC, select Shiro, and press the “Evolve!” button. Once every material and the 25,000 Gold are in your inventory, the button confirms the evolution and Shiro (Complete) replaces the base unit.

Shiro (Complete) passives explained

Shiro (Complete) runs on an Insanity bar that charges whenever he gains or loses possession of the Ball. When that bar hits 100%, he is stunned and enters Standby, which is the moment you can trigger his special ability. Note that the ability only becomes available when Axel passes the Ball to the stunned Shiro.

Split Personality

  • Each attack applies 1 Chilled stack, capped at 5.
  • While he holds the Ball: +50% Damage and +20% Damage per Chilled stack on the target.
  • Each attack consumes 1 Chilled stack from the target.
  • While he does not hold the Ball: -50% Damage and -25% SPA.
  • Disabled during Complete Transformation.

Frost

  • After hitting an enemy, he applies Freeze for 2 seconds.
  • Once the Freeze ends, the target takes 30% Slow for 25 seconds.

Insanity

  • He carries an Insanity meter.
  • Gaining or losing Ball possession grants 20% Insanity.
  • At 100% Insanity, he goes insane, is stunned for 30 seconds, and enters Standby.

Wake up Call

  • While stunned by Insanity, if Axel passes the Ball to Shiro, it unlocks the Active Ability “Complete Transformation.”
  • If you do not use the Active Ability before the stun ends, the unlock is lost.

Complete Transformation (Active Ability)

  • Unlocked on the final upgrade through the Wake up Call passive.
  • For 45 seconds, he gains +150% Damage, +40% Range, and becomes Hybrid.
  • Split Personality is disabled during this window.
  • Attacks apply 2 Chilled stacks to all enemies in Range, capped at 8.
  • Attacks on Chilled enemies consume 1 stack and deal +100% Damage.
  • When the form ends, all Chilled stacks proc for 75% of his Damage per stack.
  • The Active Ability has a fixed 200-second cooldown.

Synchro Clash pairing

Shiro (Complete) has a Synchro Clash with Axel (Striker) that unleashes the Cross-Fire Kick. Since Axel is also the unit that passes the Ball to trigger Complete Transformation, keeping both on the field lets you set up the transformation window and the Synchro payoff from the same pairing. Together with his Ice-based Chill and Freeze pressure, that makes Shiro a control-focused pick that punishes stacked debuffs on tougher waves.
